djpretzel
URL is as follows: This is one of my first tracks, and I thought I might suggest it to Overclocked Remix, my favorite site for video game remixes =) (No toady-ing intended) It doesn't use any fancy panning effects, but I think its sound quality is considerably good. Give it a listening! I hope everything is correct with the ID3 Tags. Yours, Zephyr (zephyrus@siam-mail.net)
Protricity
This song has a nice start with the piano arpeggios and such, but then it simplifies into the basic melody of the original with a simple beat and lots of clipping D:. The lead is distorted, but also rather clipped. It effects the drums greatly. Work on mastering and watch that clipping. Some nice ideas here, but very little progression. Vig
there's clipping on the drums at some points. the lead clips a whole lot. allright folks. there's nothing wrong with techno, but you MUST offer something more than simply the original over a beat. this mix does not offer anything particularly unique or interesting. and the ending is half-assed. Digital Coma
I think this should've got the auto-rejection letter. Mediocre arrangement, poor mixing. Not much else to add other than NO
m68030
From the very get-go the improper mastering of this track has gotten a NO from me. But I'll at least try and offer some advice on the rest of it, ignoring that this needs HEAVY attention to the mastering aspect. The lead is lost in the bass and percussion. Mixing mixing mixing. Never underestimate how important the stereo image of your audio is also. You've got two channels, please use them (: The main lead at around 1:46 or so is way too loud and is sort of uninteresting versus the rest of the track. The drums arn't particularly fancy, so I don't really feel like I'm hearing more than the original lead with some basic drums going on under it. You're starting to understand how to use the software.... now time to learn some music theory and technical aspects of music production (:
