djpretzel
This is my first submission. The file is here: It's a remix of the melody of the wind from Illusion of Gaia. I'm a novice at the web thing so let me know if you can't get the file for some reason. and yes, Karl Marx & the Buffalo Wings is my remix moniker. Protricity
I dont have patience for these ridiculous waste of time submissions. If anyone actually finds whatever song was submitted can you post the link here somewhere? thx.
Vig
for the second time today, i really like what's here, but this track isnt done. nice sounds, but it doesnt escalate. there are some shifts in the back, to strings, to drums, but they dont layer, they just change. make it longer and have the instruments play at the same time. this could be a decent track NO
Israfel
This is really working nice for me- a dark, cold atmosphere. Wispy is a good way to describe it. I love the way this thing develops- it's like some sort of expanding mass- like it's creeping up on you. Was a bit iffy when the drums came in- seemed to change the mood of the piece a little too much. Reminds me of the dark, somewhat ambient works of Russell Mills or someone like that. Cool stuff. Protricity
This is indeed a crudload of samples, but it seriously lacks in the area of bass, melody, progression, arrangement. It seems that when 2/3s of the song is over it decides to start. Extreme amounts of sound effect do not make a song, work on all the above. Malcos
I love the deep, low-frequency kick used here, but I think the mix relies on it too much. For those without big speakers or subwoofers this is going to sound really empty. Give us more melody, more mid-frequency layers, something else to listen to! NO Resubmit please. m68030
But for those of us WITH a nice set of speakers to listen to we've got a pretty neat ambient type track... Though I think that airy lead is too forward... with a deeper reverb on the air and a wider stereo image I think it would drift through the background in a much more endearing way. This track could also be at least a minute or two longer. Once those drums come in and it gets grooving around 2:40 it's already over. I dig alot of the ideas here, but I think it could really be expanded into something a little bit deeper and developed. I'll be looking forward to seeing this again in the future if you decide to flesh it out further. NO
