djpretzel
I thought this was rather good. distinct style. -djp artist: Sine composer: Yoko Shimomura song: Barrel Volcano - Super Mario RPG remix title: Seeking Heat address: I figured I'd submit this, considering I've had it laying around for about a year. Twas my second remix ever. Thanks, Will
Malcos
Well the bassline and percussion don't change much, if at all (filtering doesn't count). This is distinctive and has style, the only thing really making this a yes is the piano part, which was very well done indeed. Fade out was a bit off. Protricity
GOD D&M*IT!!!!!!!! Everything was groovy up until 2:40 when everything starts getting off key!!! Its not stylistic or anything, its just off key. gach!! I cant accept the off key section as is. NO
Israfel
prog meets techno...well, not really, but those synth solos at around 2:40 really reminded me of Emerson, Lake & Palmer or something. hehe, anyways, this is really incredible. Lots of really great stuff going on- love the piano, love the synth leads...I just love the mix. YES
m68030
Hearing the first 2:20 and being told that something bad happens at 2:40 is like hearing, at the age of 10 that your second born child will be eaten alive in front of you by your drugged wife. And then it turns out to not even really be that bad... Damnit prot, you almost made me not enjoy this. YES. this is neat.
Digital Coma
Damn, this is hot (which I think was the point). Leaving only the bassline to carry the melody was a great idea, but it's more muddy and weak than it should have been. Love the wild dissonance in the howling synth solo. Things are overcompressed during breaks and the protracted fade-out feels way too long, but overall this theme finally has a befitting mix.
