Unknown Metroid theme remix

Hi, I just wanted to ask if anyone has ever heard this remix:

I believe I found it randomly on mp3.com in 1998, but I had lost it for probably the last 6 or 7 years. I randomly got it back from a friend last week, and while listening it just drives me crazy that I have no idea who the remixer is or if they ever did anything else. Anyway, I love it, and at the very least wanted to share it with the people here.
