Final Fantasy 9 Fall of Burmecia

I took the songs "Face Unseen" and "Burmecian Kingdom" and created this track called "Fall of Burmecia". I'm not sure right now what to do with this as I know its not ready for entry and I think the instruments aren't working out well. Ideas?

Very promising start, but, eh, W T H?

If you did this on headphones, I can accept the extreme change in levels from the background.

You had a nice hypnotic beat framework and background elements, then the lead comes, shredding the universe to pieces.

Adjust the level of the lead,

or try another lead sound, and make it start at the correct beat,

add bass, add bass, add bass,

have some correlation between the background elements and the lead (which is playing outside of the realm of the other elements).

Great song, I liked the original, it was one of my favorites in FF9. It had so much complexity and it was mystic. The song is full of sadness, despair, pain, sorrow. No sign of life, it is an ideal backdrop song for the destruction of Bermecia.

Thinking about it the lead is WAY to high and should be more mellow with the rest of the song. Maybe even slowing down the lead would help cause it sounds way to fast.
