Adding on to a loop while recording it. In FLStudio/MPD24.

How do you guys keep adding sounds to a loop while recording in FLStudio with an MPD24?

For example one can just start off with the hihats hitting repeatedly, then the kicks and snares, while its still going.

I want to be able to do this, since right now i have to stop the beat, and then replay it by adding more sounds to it. I need it to be consecutive.

This guy is using Ableton Live.

Not sure if it's possible on FL Studio, actually.

Try this :

switch to "Song" mode,

enable "Loop record/Overdub"

hit record, then play.

It's actually really easy, more specifically:

-Set your bar length in the top left corner of the step sequencer, turn on blend with existing notes and loop record, then set your main snap value to whatever you want. Careful though, if you hold a note past the set recording time it will extend the length of the loop.
