8BitBliss
Hey guys, So my g/f wants me to make some CD's for her bday party this weekend and I wanted them to sound like a smooth continuous track sort of like a DJ mix instead of just playing track after track with pauses in between holy run on sentence batman! What do you guys recommend I get. All I want to do is fade songs in and out or lay tracks on top of each other. Help please o.o Thanks! Hy Bound
This may get moved to a different forum, but the best DAW to do that sort of thing is Ableton Live. You can get a free demo for what you are looking to do.

Rozovian
I think you can do it in Audacity, which is free. Depends on how it wants to export the tracks tho.
Harmony
Nero does that if all you need to do is crossfade a few seconds at the end of each track. You just arange the order of songs, set the crossfade length between each track, and burn. I forget exactly where the option is, but I'm pretty sure Google remembers. As said, Audacity is free and would be just fine for this, but it would be more work if you've never done anything like that before.
8BitBliss
I just want to be able to ghetto DJ mix it, so where its 1 continuous track and the songs overlap each other. end of song 1 is playing, song 2 is playing in the background but at a lower volume then song 2 gets louder and song 1 ends.
