djpretzel
Hi, djpretzel! My name is Curt Castro (CountCurt). I'm a newbee, but I wanted to submit this song to you. Being in grad school, I don't get much time to compose or remix, but I gave it a shot. Just wanted to contribute to all the wonderful game music on the site! Thanks for all your great effort at keeping such a great site going. Lemme know what you think of the song...even if you think it stinks! Hehe...In the meantime, God bless! The song is called Chrono Cross Sailing Chrono Style based on the Another World theme...one of my favs. Curt
DarkeSword
Sounds pretty much like the track from the game, except it lacks emotion. And it's got some pads, and some shaker instruments. Oh yeah! And some drums! Those pads are flooding out everything else. Sorry, but this isn't much of an arrangement. It's nice sounding, but I'd rather listen to the original. Vig
i havent played either of the two games, but isnt this from radical dreamers? i recognise it from that jaroban thing, and perhaps others. whatever. i agree that the violin is very dead sounding. the pads could do interesting things if more complex chords were played. it's not bad at all, but it's really just vanilla. GrayLightning
Pretty much what darkesword said. The first minute sounds like an attempt at copying the original almost note for note and instrument for instrument. Mix it up a bit more. Also during the loud pad sections there's some clipping. It does sound nice though, but it needs more arrangement. NO
Israfel
Pleasant- but like the others mentioned it doesn't add much to the original- the overall feel and composition is pretty much the same. But still, a nice listen. NO
