Vipes
I'm trying to make a Ringman remix, with a Jazz feel. However, I cant find any jazz VSTs. And what FL gives you, is just not good for it. Can someone help me?
Kanthos
What instruments are you looking for? There are very few instruments that haven't been used for jazz.
Vipes
I'm looking for a Jazz Trumpet, Jazz Trombone, an excelent Sax, and an acoustic bass or Fender jazz bass.
zircon
That's quite a lot of stuff... what kind of budget do you have? Those sort of instruments are pretty hard to sample so you'll need to shell out money for anything good.
Vipes
Well, budget, I got a bit of money to blow, so price really isnt an object.
Meteo Xavier
http://www.soundsonline.com/Chris-Hein-Horns-Vol.-3-pr-BS-432.html Is this kinda what you're looking for?
prophetik music
as for the jazz bass, i use the fender jazz bass soundfont from naturalstudios. probably not available from their site anymore, but try googling for it and you might find it. it's about 25mb. not the best all-around sound, and sounds kind of weak out of the box, but good EQing and some basic compression fix that quick. AaronD
AAS Lounge Lizard has great Wurli/Rhodes sounds, and Edirol Orchestral has some great brass patches. No guitar, though.
Nicole Adams
Equipped Music has some great sample libraries for jazz.
ChaosSupremeSonic
http://freemusicsoftware.org/392 DVS Saxophone is a good VSTi you could use for FL Studio. I use it for practically all my songs that I want a sax sound in. I wouldn't say it's the best, but it can take you a long way and is one of the best Sax VSTis that you could find for free. It's interface is simple, you work mainly with the size and depth of the sound, along with an Auto Vibrato and Express feature to alter the feel. I think the attacks depend on the velocities you set it on. The higher the velocity, the greater the attack. That's how it seems whenever I want to lessen the attack.
