Pepper
I did a search on the site to find that (unsurprisingly) there have never been any remixes to any of the songs from Lego Island! This was one of my favorite games as a kid, and I have just recently found a decently quality rip of the music online. The tracks that are most deserving of remixing (IMO) are: Happy Roaming Info Center Top Park The Brickster Chase Brick Hunt The Jail Chopper Chase Here's the link: http://rapidshare.com/files/114490803/LEGOIslandOST.rar.html If I knew anything about remixing, I'd do it myself. Some of these tracks are brilliant, especially for a children's PC game. I would really appreciate someone giving it a shot.
alfredofreak
Pepper, you are practically GOD to me. I've been dying to get ahold of that soundtrack for AGES! I fully support this idea. I can't contribute anything for a while (ReMix n00b here) but I think I'll start playing around with some ideas. I support all of the tracks you've mentioned but I'd like to suggest the Race track (no pun intended =P ) as well. I can hear some potential in it, especially if someone manages to isolate the SFX to use.
loomcore
Pepper, you've made my day. I haven't heard these tunes for years! I think Jail, Hospital and Explore have some potential... I'll start experimenting. Chroxic, wanna collab?
Pepper
Haha, I knew there were people that loved this game as much as I did! Good luck with the remixing, can't wait to see what you come up with.
semistardust
I love this, I might try to do a remix of something on here; I played this game so much when I was little.
loomcore
Despite what I said earlier, I've started doing an acid house version of Brick By Brick now ;D I'll post it as a WIP when I get a bit further with it. --EDIT-- My ReMix is now available on the WIP board here. Enjoy! ;D
Pepper
Holy crap loom, that's awesome. Keep up the remixin'!
loomcore
Lol cheers mate; it's only a WIP remember Will sub it if I ever get it to a state where I'm actually happy with it
alfredofreak
Pepper, you've made my day. I haven't heard these tunes for years! I think Jail, Hospital and Explore have some potential... I'll start experimenting. Chroxic, wanna collab? Perhaps ReMix n00b wasn't the best term. More like MUSIC n00b. =) Perhaps one day, but not until I advance past merely slicing and dicing beats. Until finals are over at my university, I won't have time to mess around with music. Once summer rolls around, I might have to go looking for some Lego Island midi's... loomcore
I might have to go looking for some Lego Island midi's... Good luck with that I did have a look, but I wasn't hopeful... with good reason it turned out Just figure it out by ear if you can, or find someone who can help you otherwise. I'll have a go for you if you want, but I'm probably not overly reliable
PROTO·DOME
Being honest, I never had a freakin clue what exactly I had to do in this game, other than driving round an island on a bike knocking people over. Oh wait, and something about pizza.
Pepper
Being honest, I never had a freakin clue what exactly I had to do in this game, other than driving round an island on a bike knocking people over. Oh wait, and something about pizza. And that's about 90% of the fun! The game itself took around 45 minutes to an hour to "beat," but it was really just an exploration of the little island. Exactly what I wanted as a kid; GTA for 7 year olds.

Pepper
Ok, it's been almost a year, and it's officially time to revive this thread. loom, if you're there, the second revision of Break by Break is overdue. To everyone else: let's make some Lego Island remixes! The entire soundtrack is in the first post. Edit: Never mind, link's down. Here's a new one: http://www.mediafire.com/?19k9bwoif6a9coi
Rockos
HAha never played the game. But the soundtrack is great. I loved the 'Brick Hunt' maybe I'll try to dubstep it. If anyone got any idea or want to help me out; I'll be there. I'm gonna 'try' (Since I'm not as good as other remixer.)
Rockos
Tried but nothing came in mind. Sorry.
Pepper
No worries Rockos. Anyone else wanna take a shot? We've managed to produce a fantastic WIP of Brick by Brick so far by loomcore.
alfredofreak
If someone can find or at least make the majority of a MIDI I can use to remix , I'll gladly tackle it!
