Bundeslang
The People's Remix Competition 170 PRCv7-14 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! PRC169 is over, the double source PRC got 3 participants. Hewhoisiam and OneUp tied for second place, Showroom Dummy won the contest. He send his source, so PRC170 can start (a little later as usual, but of course there's still enough time left). PRC Classic of the two weeks No classic at the moment, I'll add it later. This rounds source This round, Showroom Dummy selected the source. Sorry about lateness. I pick the Cloud castle song from castlevania 2 belmot's revenge for game boy. http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/gameboy/Cva2-CloudCastle.mid Good luck all! Castlevania 2 Belmont's Revenge (GB) - Cloud Castle Song MID GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by Monday May 17th at 10:59 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) or the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of the previous contest can't take part, but he/she can enter a Bonus Mix and she/he has a vote that counts twice. Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests. Bundeslang
It's results time. The votes are in. Total number of mixes - 2 Total number of votes - 2 Maximum Score - 6 Minimum Score - 4 (without voting) OneUp did a nice song, it's only enough to get the last place wooden spoon. And PRC170's winner is Binweasel with 6 points! Voting Comments Very nice songs, great work. I like Binweasel's song, it's very original with many things added in the song, it's not just the source. Nice style. OneUp did an amazing job as well, closer to the source but in a nice way. Very nice built-up and bassline and drums. It misses an end. I think both of you deserve first place, but only one can win. Binweasel gets my vote. I think that the timbre play in Binweasel's makes up for spotty early tone issues. On the whole, Bin's arrangement is stronger. OneUp's is solid but I found myself enjoying the different directions taken by Weasel's more. Congratulations Binweasel. Chickenwarlord and me voted you first (it was a hard one for me). OneUp did a very nice job, but Binweasel was too good this time. Binweasel, you may select the source for PRC171. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM, other options are PM me @ ThaSauce or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer PM @Ocremix) before next Friday, May 21st at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. Check it at the list: http://sites.google.com/site/bambombim/prc http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc (also downloadable via the link above, I need to update that list again). Hardbeat Acolyte
Congrats Binweasel I was making a bonus mix in the final 30 minutes of this round but missed the deadline by exactly a minute, here's the short ditty I had anyway (also, the setting of the bass & drums were mostly set previously to the 30 minutes): http://tindeck.com/listen/rsto
