Palpable
Good morning. i've remixed some of the most well known games on c64/Atari I thought you'd maybe intereseted. The games are Ace 2 (Robot mix) Commando (Hall of fame part) Delta Goldrunner Thanatos Best. And Oc remix really rocks. moonove ---------------------------------------------------------------
Palpable
I really like the approach taken here with simplifying the melodies and making them sparse. I love the catchy simplicity. Towards the middle of this, it starts to drag and really needed some sort of change-up. There was a bridge at 1:27 but nothing substantially different and after that ended, it was business as usual. Even adding one additional element to the second half, something to progress this, would have added a lot. As it stands, I gotta say NO to this, it's just too repetitive. OceansAndrew
Pretty charming intro, and it works for a bit, but Vinnie is dead-on when he says that it's killed be repetition. It stays really sparse for the complete duration, when it should be more filled out. The arrangement also could use some additional personalization beyond just simplifying the source. DragonAvenger
The simplification works really well for this track, but it's relied on for the entire track, which get's pretty static after a while. On the same idea, there isn't any build-up or much development going on, which is what ultimately kills it for me. You need to give us something new, like a new part, or some variation, to keep our ears into it. It's a catchy mix, but the repetition is too much.
