Ravich
My friend asked me how to best cut and edit some tracks she has of her orchestra performing. Basically the recordings start before the music begins and dont fade out or anything. Is there a free program that does this? I can do it for her, but I'm wondering about free software that would be capable.
Chernabogue
Audacity can do it easily, and it's free and a great program!
Ravich
Anyone know why she might be having this issue? Thanks! I downloaded it, and imported some tracks, and it's just messed up. They won't play like normal, but instead they are like half a second long and just this blip of sound. Is there some setting or something that I have to change for conversion from mp3 file into the Audacity project file??
AMT
Not sure why that would happen, but REAPER can easily do this too. Might want to check that out.
Chernabogue
Anyone know why she might be having this issue? It must be an exporting problem. You need to download the LAME Encoder file (from the same website you download Audacity). Then, when you have finished to work on a track, go to File -> Export as MP3 and select the LAME Encoder file (must be a .dll file). Then, you'll export the MP3 file.
