ncocs
Super Metroid Soundfont? I've tried ripping sounds. It doesn't work.
ncocs
I still don't have a reply... disappointing.
AMT
http://soundfonts.darkesword.com/ Grab the SNES SPC soundfont from here. Unless I'm misunderstanding how the SNES worked, any sound SM used in its music should be in there.
ncocs
I'm pretty sure that there aren't any SM sounds in there. I wanted the Brinstar 1 sounds especially, and they weren't there.
Jedi QuestMaster
There's the SPC soundfont, but that only tries to emulate SNES samples (or borrows from various SNES titles - I don't know ). I haven't ever looked into ripping SNES sounds, but I think you're best bet (if someone hasn't made a soundfont already) is to open Super Metroid in an emulator that allows you to mute sound channels individually & record the instruments you need. Then use the recorded sounds in Vienna (or Viena ).

Jedi QuestMaster
What did you use? How did it not work?
ncocs
I used SPCTool, and for the sounds from Brinstar 1, the sound was just static noise. And then for the part that wasn't, I didn't have time to tune that much. So a soundfont is my best option.

Jedi QuestMaster
There's still my suggestion.
lazygecko
Convert spc rip to .it, rip instruments using ModPlug Tracker. Loop data should be saved with them which will transfer to some things like FL's sampler, but you'll still have to tune the samples which can be tedious.
