Forever Forest Theme - Paper Mario

I'm working on an orchestrated version of the Forever Forest theme, and here's what I have so far. I haven't added the brass yet (bad composer, bad!), and the ending is a little rough, but I thought I'd throw this up here to get some comments and suggestions. Thanks!

I hated this theme, until I heard this.

I crit more on production than arrangement, so that's what I'll be talking about.

1. Clippyness. At the beginning, when the harp reaches its lowest notes, there's a whole lot of clipping.

2. Further in, at about half way, there's a whole lot of clipping.

So, to fix that, you can work on volume mixing, or sometimes compression helps.

Other than that, I think you're good.

I'm gonna follow this one.

Sounds pretty good. A bit off at some parts. A agree with ncocs, there is a lot of clipping. That's what made it sound a bit weird for me. I love the direction you're going with this, however. This place needs more Paper Mario music. I like where this is going, otherwise.

Thanks for the feedback-- yeah, I haven't added anything to limit the sound at all yet, so once I do that the clips should go away (I think). I'm not all that great at production yet. Can it be fixed with a compressor or limiter of some sort?

Sure can! Don't be afraid to make it whisper quiet or crazy loud in different parts too, as long as it doesn't clip.
