It's on Sega Genesis btw. Just started this mix and not even sure how I will manage to create a 4 minute mix out of this but I'll try. So far, it's just a minute long. Just a rough concept, I'd like to find out if you guys like this style. Although it does sound close to the source but I think not as much to go OCR non-compliant. Besides, this is what was playing in my mind. I am thinking of fusing it with another mix to extend it to a full song. Hopefully, I'll be able to come up with something worth submitting. I'd appreciate if someone can take a listen and let me know if it makes any sense or not. I just took bits and pieces from the sources to come up with my mix. I probably will get rid of Chrono Cross ending and will come up with something else. "Time's Scar" deserves an individual mix and not just tiny bits. You don't have to listen to sources if you don't want to. Just let me know if the fusion feels natural or disjointed. Is it fun to listen to? Please note that the mix is not done yet. I have to add some synth arpeggios here and there and write proper ending which is missing from this wip atm. Also need to re-EQ. Now, totally open for suggestions and feedback before handing over to judges. How odd of those individuals to not post their thoughts in this thread, to each his own though... The mix definitely sounded like a lot of themes spliced together, but you do an alright job of mixing them all into coherence somehow (impressive with so many songs). It also sounds REALLY produced. For me that's a downer because I think a lot of mixes on here tend to sound way too similar, as if there were a mastering template FL studio and the rest of the DAWs use. But this is a personal taste I'm sure it will do fine with the judges. As for the track on a whole it didn't seem to have a climax, or a driving theme (or maybe it was my ignorance of the sources) that would make me want to listen to it more than once.
