I needed a break from my own works, and I remebered when I first discovered OCR, there was no Shadow Man remix. I have to say though, I understand why now... that was a tough song to choose! It took more or less a whole day to do, made on FL studio (primarily). Originally, I was going to stick to the 155bpm pace, but my phone rang and I got distracted, changing it to 140bpm instead... wow it sounded great! Also, choosing instruments that sounded close, but not exactly like the original ones was a major task, not to mention doing it all from my exceptionally poor memory! But some songs you just don't forget... Anyways, if I may say so, I'm a big fan of AE's, Disco Dan's, and DJ Pretzel's songs, something that definitely inspired me to go ahead and finally contribute something... But as long as it took me, I'm gonna need a longer break from making music for a while! Anyways, thank you in advance!
Liontamer
http://www.zophar.net/nsf/megaman3.zip - "Shadowman Stage" (Track 9) Weak synths, 4:25-long and repetitive, underdeveloped, unengaging, uncreative on the arrangement, and near verbatim with the original. Some VERY brief original ideas in here (3:28-3:42), but nothing significant or different enough to merit allowing a full vote. Submission Instructions & Standards]In terms of arrangement - how close or distant ReMixes should be to the original - the general rule is that the ReMix should be YOURS. We don't just mean that you were involved in its creation, but that it is different enough from the original so as to readily illustrate the contributions, modifications, and enhancements you have made. In other words, don't just take the original and drop a few drum loops on top. Also, don't simply take a MIDI file and assign new instruments to the parts, or add reverb, and expect that to pass as 'yours'. When we say 'ReMix', we actually mean something closer to 're-arrangement', if that helps clarify. If you listen to most of the pieces on the site and compare them to the originals, you should get an idea of what a ReMix is. NO Override
