ultimasky
Beleive it or not, I wrote each and every track from the ground up, which let me add some really subtle fills, and proved to be a fun challenge in the time signature... I found out first hand just HOW talented Masato Nakamura really is. I wrote the solo on my keyboard, and then tirelessly replicated it using fruity loops (my program for the whole song). This is my first real remix, I hope you guys enjoy it http://soundcloud.com/ty-pearson-1/casino-lounge
Garpocalypse
Sonic remix! Well almost. Some very cool things going on and i am pretty fond of some of the sounds you are using which fit pretty well for what is my favorite stage in all of Sonic-dom. However, The drum kit you are using doesn't sound that great, especially that snare with a rather ridiculous tail. Other than the solo, what you have stays really close to the source. So close that it seems almost like a midi rip, which says something good about your ear training. OCR is all about personal expression so feel free to play with it. After a few mixes you'll find out that riding the line between familiarity and originality are one of the best parts of doing these kinds of VGremixes. You're off to a good start, welcome to the game.
TroisNyxEtienne
I have to agree with the person before me that the drums aren't the best. I do love the lead synth, and I really like the fact that you're pretty accurate in recreating this song. I do enjoy your solo a lot, it gives it a personal spin — but other than that, there isn't much that defines "you". Some extra chords perhaps? A little bit of breaking the tune apart and/or variation? Also, I find the ending very abrupt. The synth should be left to decay naturally, rather than just having it cut off. You can do that by just dragging the last pattern(s) by a few beats or even a bar. Build up on what's good, knock out the kinks, and you're on your way.
