Conn
Hi, I already posted a thread with a request for remastering a theme of bszelda: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=41541 Thanks to FirebrandX, we now have the theme. Our desire is now to ingame it to the rom, and therefore we need to convert this theme to spc: http://bszelda.zeldalegends.net/bszmusic/waitandlisten_fbx.wav Does anybody know a program that is capable doing this (mp3,wav,midi to spc?). Thanks a lot, Conn
timaeus222
The only way I know of that's possible is to start from a MIDI, but practically 90% of the internet wants SPC to MIDI.
Rozovian
Does anybody know a program that is capable doing this (mp3,wav,midi to spc?). Audio to spc? No way. We may be getting there once Melodyne and other pitch editors get better and better algorithms for figuring out notes form audio, but we're probably decades away from that level of accuracy. Midi to spc is feasible, but still not an easy feat. You'd do best to find a snes tracker, but I have no idea what's out there. You can start here for some info, dunno where to go next, tho. Conn
Thanks for your replies; I was able to convert the wav to impulse tracker (.it) and .xm format with OpenMPT. To be able to convert the tracker data to .spc I found two programs: xm2snes: http://ekid.nintendev.com/xms/ it2snes: http://snes.mukunda.com/ it2snes chrashes but I got a spc with the xmconverter somehow. However it is mute...
Rozovian
Check that the .it and .xm work in a tracker-compatible music player. I'd expect the ->snes converters to require a functioning tracker file. Converting wav to .it sounds like converting jpg to psd.
