Ashaman
A piano piece I arranged and performed that mixes Carol of the Bells with themes from Final Fantasy (usually the heroines/belles' themes) and Parasite Eve. Original theme arrangements by Nobuo Uematsu, George Winston, Yoko Shimomura, and Mark Hayes. I arranged this piece in 2003 and recorded it in a piano auditorium. Unfortunately the person who recorded it had the levels super low and as such my only recording for the last 9 years had poor quality sound. This is a new recording from 2012 with some minor variations. omnipotentBagel
Aw sweet, I've had this piece in my Christmas Music folder for years and, every time it comes up, I think, 'this is great, shame it's so muddy sounding.' From a recording-quality standpoint, this sounds loads better. From a composition standpoint it sounds as excellent as ever. Thanks for updating this. Rozovian
Okay so... Yeah. I can hear the sources, and they fit well together. Terra's theme ties it together beginning-end somewhat. Not sure it has enough focus, but my tracks tend to be meandering messes and they get posted. Then again, I tend to stick to one or two sources. I foresee two potential issues: medley-itis and non-vgm source. This is primarily a take of Carol of the Bells imo, with a lot of vgm sources integrated into it. Since Terra's theme is used the most, it'd make sense to say this is primarily an arrangement of that, but that's not quite true, is it? With the primary source being non-vgm, and the vgm sources making appearances rather than any one of them being a substantial part of the arrangement, I don't think this is ocr material. But sub it anyway. I can be wrong. I hope I'm wrong. This is a really cool arrangement.
