Lostinthamusic Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I've got an Intel Integrated soundcard right now. It sucks, to sum it up. [No brainer] I was thinking about getting either an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 MIDI or an E-Mu 0404. Are these cards reliable when it comes to latency and creating music? My budget is at about $150 right now, so is there something a little better than those two you can think of? Or are one of those a good choice? Quote
OverCoat Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Those two are okay. There's always obviously something better, it just costs more. I think there is an Echo card you can get for around the same price, no idea on that though. I never record any instruments live so I'm perfectly fine with my Audigy :3 Quote
zircon Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 EMU 0404 is fantastic, I recommend it to everyone in that price range. It works great. Quote
j_sun2k Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I 3rd that. I have an EMU 0404 as well and it has done wonders with clarity. U do however have to buy lots of new cables since its 1/4' plugs Quote
