lazygecko
I feel more comfortable mixing and mastering stuff in the Logic environment, but the PC version lost support a long time ago thanks to Apple obtaining exclusive rights (And people call Microsoft evil?). Is anyone here using it? How is the support for newer VST plugins?
Compyfox
The only one I know at these boards who still uses Logic 5 is analoq. Due to the fact that it is still "Windows", you have access to tons of freeware and cheap tools who're as good as "new bundle deals". If you feel more comfortable mixing with it, and you can get it fairly cheap, I'd use it. Mastering is still a job for Wavelab and Sequoia however. analoq
it's still one of the better high-end music production tools on the PC, despite it not being the latest-and-greatest. emagic bid a kind farewell to it, the last PC version is very reliable and efficient -- it will keep you going for a long time. VST2 support is fine, though iirc VSTi's with multiple outputs were kinda iffy. overall: yes, it's worth using. cheers.
spacepony
I agree. Although I'm a Mac Logic user, I know quite a few PC owners who are happily doing professional work with Logic 5.5.1.
