JoePotato28
https://app.box.com/s/s8iid64fqtwzz8mxetlf jazzy mix i made back in November the original song: i was pretty liberal with the arrangement. instead of taking the structure of the song and remixing from within, i incorporated bits from the original in a totally different and progressive structure. sorta took it in a totally different direction, a more winter-y direction. like Petalburg City in the winter ya know

I absolutely love it. It is definitely a more liberal arrangement, but I can still hear Petalburg in there. One question though... is the very end intentional? It seemed a bit abrupt after the fade-out... not sure if it's due to the program you used?

Thanks The ending wasn't exactly intentional, I originally wanted it to just be a fade out. After I heard that feedback though I thought it would be cool to keep it and work with it. Nostalvania
Sounds pretty enjoyable so far IMO. I think the ride cymbal could use some velocity editing, it sounds a bit mechanical. I'm not so sure about the last part at 2:20, it sounds like the beginning of a new part but instead it just fades out, hmm..... The piano chords from 2:36 - 3:21 sound very dissonant. timaeus222
I agree with Nostalvania. The dissonance doesn't sound intentional, at least after 2:42. The chord at 2:36 was fine. The other ones are like someone mashed some notes on the piano with the palm of their hand. Also, the TR-808/909 drums you're using fit more of an Electro or Hip Hop context.
