XeLa89 Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 I will be using an SM57 to mic a guitar amp. Does anyone have any experience with USB 1.1 audio interfaces? What about combo MIDI controller/audio interfaces? Thanks. Quote
Compyfox Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Sure that your question wasn't answered somewhere else already? This is why nobody wrote. Else I can't emphasize Edirol more than just once. You can't go wrong with it. Quote
OverCoat Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 My midisport 2x2 works great. But you want a midi/audio interface? An Audiophile 2496 is the same price. Quote
Yoozer Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Why 1.1? Audio (24/96) eats up a lot of traffic. If you have an older desktop computer, consider buying a PCI USB 2.0 card. I've got one too. If you have an (older) laptop, consider a PCMCIA (PC-Card) interface like an Echo Indigo or something. Combined audio/MIDI interfaces are nice as long as you don't have too many synthesizers hooked up to it. Quote
Compyfox Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Er... did I mention Edirol yet? I guess I did mention Edirol, didn't I? Quote
Compyfox Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 What, what, WHAT?! Is it our job to do the researches? Almost every module works. And the page is very detailed. Quote
OverCoat Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 What, what, WHAT?!Is it our job to do the researches? Depends on how much you want to shill for Edirol Quote
Compyfox Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 You can't deny that it's price/effort technically the best firm to go. Quote

He's asking if anyone has any experience and recommendations with stuff like this. It is quite easy to not answer if you don't want to help. Quote
Compyfox Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 It's also quite easy to use the search function if we answered these questions over and over! A little bit of research is part of the game, too. If you don't like that, then don't post either, SGX. Quote
