k u n g f u c h i c k e n
So I got Guitar Rig working really well on my computer now thanks to Asio4All, but I was wondering, is there anyway to record sound that happening in general on your computer? Well, to better explain my issue, I can't seem to figure out how to play with guitar rig in realtime in an audio program of some sort, and when I record IN guitar rig standalone, I lose some of that juicy ass tone. Help please.
Chavous
I don't know much about Guitar Rig, but there is a program that records sounds from your soundcard, as long as you don't have a mic plugged in in that immediate moment. Google "Voice Changer software" or "AVC voice changer". Oh, and make sure you set the pitch and timbre to 100%, or you'll get some intersting stuff coming out the other end. Jens Wulvik
You may set your input source to Stereo Mix and then just record.
k u n g f u c h i c k e n
Will I still be able to hear the song I'm recording over? And will I be able to run guitar rig seperate and it still work?
Jens Wulvik
I think I can answer yes to both those questions. The sound will still be as normal, but the recording source will be 'every sound your computer make'. How it sounds is what you get recorded!! k u n g f u c h i c k e n
Shit, but then i wont be able to hear the song itself that I'm recording over BY ITSELF and then the guitar as a seperate track?
Jens Wulvik
You may set record source to "microphone" and record the unplugged guitar sound only while using guitar rig as a real-time effect. By doing that you'll be able to record the guitar part as a seperate track while listening to the other music.
k u n g f u c h i c k e n
Well, I had a private chat and figured it out on my own. Now Guitar Rig works PERFECT on my computer. Thanks man, I owe you one. For future reference, I had to click Input Echo for it to work correctly.
