Neo-Nut
Hi all, I am looking for a VSTi that's capable of doing that huge 80's synth brass (think Rocky IV / TRansformers / Vince Dicola) So far every vst I own fails at this, the closest i got was with the Korg Wavestation but it's not quite 'there' , I can only et this sound with either my actual Roland JV1080 or my Korg DW8000 but I like the convenience of working In the box - please stop me from buying more Hardware ! lol though The Roland D550 / Yamaha Motif's look nice ! Flexstyle
You'll find what you need buried in either Nexus 2 or Omnisphere 2, I'd venture. Both of those have a ludicrous amount of incredibly usable presets. Neo-Nut
Meteo Xavier
Synth 1 has some big ass brass in it. You need to get the additional libraries for it, but it's all free. Roland also released a VST version of their Sound Canvas. Not exactly the fix you might be looking for, but worth looking at. It is not free. WillRock
https://obxd.wordpress.com/ - thats a free vst based on the ob-x synth, used by bands like van halen and rush. Perfect for brass sounds like you're going for! https://app.box.com/s/krhwp975tvsjaiy86oq7w1hd2xlfq1b7 - thats a WIP I did using primarily synths from the VST, if you want an example of what it can do Neo-Nut
