brink-of-time Posted March 7, 2020 Share Posted March 7, 2020 I like this quite alot! I only have two small issues with it. First is the the incredibly panned bass you add in at 0:22. I think it should be centered more. It takes too much away from the rest of the mix. Second is the drums. I like them but they are too repetitive. I think it's mostly from the fact that the rhythm is too basic. It's mostly just BD and snare. Very few additions come and go. When I hear the little ramp up from the other added percussion, I was expecting more to come in and really drive the beat. But nothing happened. A good mix to start! I second the feedback from Brink, as well as that I find the fuzzy, static effect a little distracting from the smoother melody. I like the approach to this source, though.
