IslandUsurper
I like to keep track of the OCRemix announcements, mostly so I know when a new album drops, through the RSS feed, but with the last two announcements it became apparent that the Author field isn't filled out. For albums, it doesn't matter so much, but when folks write in the first person, I didn't know who they were at first. The web page has a nice author block on the side, so it's obvious there who made the post. Won't you please save me a click? ?
IslandUsurper
https://ocremix.org/community/forum/20-announcements.xml/ is the feed's URL, by the way.
Solution DarkeSword Posted November 15, 2023 Solution Share Posted November 15, 2023 This is a limitation of Invision's RSS feed implementation. They adhere pretty strictly to the RSS 2.0 specification, which states that the author field is meant to be an email address, which they will not expose in an RSS feed due to privacy concerns. I know it *feels* dumb but there it is. Apologies. I suppose in the future we'll sign our Announcements when they're first-person style.
