Janet Wallace Posted May 7 Share Posted May 7 A 8-bit arrangment of Freya's Them, originally composed by Nobuo Uematsu for Final Fantasy IX (2000). I made this back in 2022, when I was still developing my music style. I edited this on Audacity for the stereo effect you hear on this track, which's actually multiple renditions of the same track put as one on the left, on the right, in the middle, to create this sound dimension, almost a 3D effect, it's quite impressive. The reharmonization starting at 2:44 is a nice touch, as are the filter sweeps with the swells. The syncopated 4:3 pulse that starts at :39 feels stilted in the center channel currently - some ping-ponging between the center and left/right channels opposite the swells would give it more impact.
