Koelsch1
This is some music I wrote for a short film a while back. The music never made it into the film becuase I was only given an 8 hour overnight deadline, and I fell asleep while a file was rendering. The film was called Oh Frappe! and was about a guy in a coffe shop trying to work up the nerve to ask a girl out. I recently re-recorded everything. http://www.home.no/koelsch1vgm/koelsch1-frappe1-intro.mp3 http://www.home.no/koelsch1vgm/koelsch1-frappe2-black.mp3 http://www.home.no/koelsch1vgm/koelsch1-frappe3-look.mp3
Mithius
Nice tone on the sax.Is it a sax tenor? I like the idea of the drums having a back seat role though keeping the flow moving. Blackkeys-The atmosphere that the piano brings in,is more of a smokey room bar to me. With a lazy rhythm section this would complete that picture The two instruments really work well here.I wonder is the sax fully improvised using key moments with signals here and there?.Or is this fully written out?. This bassline sounds very familiar to something I have heard else where. The bassline melody sounds comedic in nature to me.It sounds as if the guy in the coffe shop has had good fortune with this girl but then I could really have read this all wrong. Sorry to hear that it never made the film for the deadline was tight in nature. Mabe next time you will have a more longer deadline. Overall the ideas used are intelligently done.I have nothing against the compositions, though blackkeys has a more smokey room vibe than a cafe. This is how I hear it, it is only a view that is all,nor wrong or right.Mabe it fits very well with the picture as I cannot see and hear it I cannot say with conviction. At the end of it all I enjoyed listening to these compositions regardless do they fit a picture or not thanks.
