The skill here is no less than I expect out of DoD, but this sort of arrangement also pushes my buttons, especially the use of brass and the way it seems styled as a theme. Playing and mixing is impeccable. I also like to give major props for fulfilling my failing mission of covering obscure Gen/MD sources. It's less obscure to me, because after the glorious "Shinobi III", I had to look up what else the composers had done, and I discovered this game. This ReMix is the next best thing to tackling "Shinobi III" and NOT doing "Whirlwind" for a change.
