Sole Signal
I'm thinking of putting together some youtube vids of FL and what not. Any recommendations of some good software to use? I googled it but there's so many choices; any good ones in particular?
Bigfoot
I think the majority of people use fraps or Game Cam with fraps being better(I think).
KyleJCrb
Fraps works very well for capturing video and pictures. Although I think the free version throws a watermark onto them...
Pyrion
The most-immediate problem with FRAPS is that it doesn't do you a damn bit of good for 2D apps. FRAPS only affects apps that run in hardware 3D rendering modes like Direct3D and OpenGL. /actually has FRAPS registered.

Looked at Game Cam too, but it claims to have the same Direct3D and OpenGL requirements.
Broken
I reccomend Snag it. Simple interface, records just about anything (w/out a watermark), and has little to no overhead.

If you enable the framerate counter in FRAPS and you don't see the framerate in whatever corner of the screen you set it to, then no, FRAPS won't work with it.
