Help me with this picking pattern

I can't fiqure out the left guys(cory)picking pattern.

Those are supposed to look like eighth-notes with some triplet eighths mixed in. "n" means downstroke, "v" means upstroke. The "()" is because he does a slide with his left hand there and doesn't hit the strings with his pick hand, at least not in the part I looked at.
