Nav
Can I have some feedback on this? It is intelligent drum and bass/jungle. A major influence was Omni Trio, with his style of break and chords. My main issue was how the melody was in 3 bar phrases, and I needed to convert them to 4 bar. After that, the remix and my own melodies seamlessly combine. Feedback is really appreciated. I usually get rejected, for one reason or another, but this time, before I submit, I want to know what you guys think. http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/gba/mirror_opening.mid - The midi. http://media.putfile.com/Kirby-and-the-Amazing-Mirror---Opening - The remix. Thanks guys!
The Derrit
I honestly think this is very professionally done. Part of this is that I know Omni Trio pretty well and it sounds very much like their work, which is a plus in my book. But also, the influence of the midi is heard but not overwhelming; I think it is well personalized. It seems really good to me, I honestly don't have a whole lot of comment for you other than some of it seems to repeat itself; it could use more variation in parts. Also, small technical issue, the echo at the begninning of the song isn't really on pace with the rest of the tune, and was a bit jarring, but is probably not that hard to fix. Other than that, I'm a big fan! Good luck with this.
Radiowar
yeah definitely got an omni trio sound to this. deceptively simple. not sure if it would pass though, the judges might say it's too repetitive. I think it's great, though I'm not so sure about that crash at the end.

Variation-wise, it was meant to be more of a "drift-off" kind of song rather than a song meant to be actively listened to. I hope you know what I mean. I guess I could add maybe a panning lfo or two to spice it up a bit! Also, Omni Trio is actually a single person! Weird, I know. yeah definitely got an omni trio sound to this. deceptively simple. not sure if it would pass though, the judges might say it's too repetitive. I think it's great, though I'm not so sure about that crash at the end. The crash, eh? I guess I can turn it into a fade-out instead. I hope they don't say it's too repetitive. I'm going to submit this, with the edits you guys mentioned. Thanks for the help! Edit: http://media.putfile.com/Nav---Kirbys-Mystical-Mirror is the final submission. The Derrit
Haha yeah I know, its just grammatically difficult to say "Omni Trio is" as opposed to are. My mind won't let me :_(
