I don't like lyrics in vgm tracks. I don't like auto-tune regardless. Probably why I skipped this track when it was first released.
Making up for it though. Been on repeat eight, nine times now? Just so ... cheerful. Can't help but smile.

Nearly ten years on ... And I still get a shiver down my spine with the transition at 2:10 - a haunting melody changes to one that's uplifting, inspiring.

Thanks Rexy, I had already added your clocktower mix to the list but happy to add more.
-
I had not! I wasn't even aware they'd been implemented! Thank you muchly.

Greetings all. I know it's been some time since I was active here. And since then, my wife and I successfully made a child.
While there is plenty of lullaby material available on YouTube, she seems to respond better (ie, nods off quicker) to the few classic piano mixes I remember the names of (Klutz and The Wingless spring to mind)
The search function has been singularly unhelpful. So I turn to you fellow members - I seek the relaxing piano mixes. Your assistance is both greatly anticipated and greatly appreciated.

Completely off-topic, goddammit Coop, I just spent the last five minutes watching your awesome signature. AGAIN.
Reasonably on-topic - Yahtzee's bar is currently closed, and this annoys me.

Nice! Given that this is often the first track that will stick in a player's mind (even moreso for the powergamers - an extra two or three levels that stage make a real difference) I think the remixer's done a fantastic job - but then, I'm a sucker for piano mixes.
Source is very clear, but the flourishes make it the remixer's own work. The softening at the end works well.
Ah, and the remixer is a fellow Aussie. Excellent, needs more of us on here.

AND SHREDS WHALES!
They're a Japanese firm - of course they shred whales.
No seriously, this is why I enjoy being part of the PC-gaming Master Race.

In hilarious news, I purchased the remastered album ... hmm, three days ago? Yes, three days. This was one of my preferred tracks (constantly find myself singing it, Metal Dance being the other one) so good show gents.
Bit more Western feel now. To be perfectly honest, while this is certainly good, I enjoy the non-acoustic version better. Thumbs up for effort guys.

Bubblegum pop. Chew it up, enjoy the taste for a bit, and then spit it out.
Further note: I'd hit it, but I'd be worried about catching something.

OBJECTION!
Your Honour, this track ... it um ... you know ....
OBJECTION!!!
Shut the fuck up and enjoy it. This mix is tight.
Ah man, I miss those threads. In all seriousness, excellent track that, strangely, reminds me of the Japanese opening (sans annoying lyrics) to Teknoman. This is not a bad thing.

Bloody beautiful. Energetic enough to not put you to sleep, not so energetic that you feel hopped up on redbulls. Nicely done sir.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that Wacky.
Side note: The "radio edit" Sexy Chick is more accurately Sexy Chich. Just sayin'

I trust ... um ... well, none of you. JamPaladin's the only one I've actually met, and he insists on trying to be a ninja.
'course, within a few minutes of meeting you, yeah, it'll probably be fine.

luke saying something that isn't dream theatre is awesome? this must be good
It is good.
Mr Frog, I do believe I'll be acquiring this 'pon release.

I like Descent
but
I still think your GEE metal cover is your greatest accomplishment.
:3
My girlfriend, K-Pop loving person she is, prefers the remix now.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles remains the pinnacle of the series.
And yes, I still play it. In original cartridge format.

Quite saddening really, waking up and hearing on the radio "Michael Jackson has died earlier this morning."
His personal life aside (and, like a few, I've always had my doubts about the allegations) his music was pretty good. Methinks the world be lessened somewhat for this death.
-
I wish I could contribute in a manner other than offering encouragement. But I can't.
So, good luck folks - this project could conceivably out-awesome all the others this site has brought forth, and I definitely look forward to listening to the finished result. Hats off to Arek and Bahamut for getting the ball rolling.

Just thought I'd throw this up here, I layered some real guitar over the MMX3 Intro stage, and I think it sounds massively awesome.
I .. I just made a mess in my pants. That's how awesome this is.

All you music freaks and wanna-be shrinks, what do you make of it?
You've finally cracked. Go self-medicate some more.

This completely blew my mind.
After having the Star Wars "Rule of Two" for the Sith explained to me (As I was never a fan and know the series only in passing- but strangely enough because they are awesome games I know the KotOR universe far better than I do the movies) The thought that Anakin Skywalker, that is, Darth Vader, would bring "Balance" to the force strikes me thus:
1. Assume there are 2 Sith at any one time.
2. Assume there are >2 Jedi at any one time.
Through episode 3, Anakin Skywalker goes nuts and kills every other Jedi except for Obi Wan and Yoda and turns to the Dark side, that is, turns Sith, so:
2 Sith = 2 Jedi by the end of the 3rd movie.
Where the next 3 go,
2 Jedi vs. 2 Sith
1 Jedi vs. 2 Sith after Obi Wan Dies, but because of Vader's actions, Luke becomes a Jedi, so
2 Jedi vs. 2 Sith
And then in Return of the Jedi Yoda dies, so
1 Jedi vs. 2 Sith
Vader kills Palpatine, so
1 Jedi vs. 1 Sith
And then Vader dies, and can't affect the number of Jedi vs. Sith any more.
Anakin Skywalker has, indeed, brought Balance to the Force! Every time he's acted, he has balanced the equation!
You would think when the Jedi outnumbered the Sith by several thousand they'd not want Anakin around, but clearly they don't teach enough Jedi discrete Mathematics or Logic systems and instead teach them kumbaya and that "balance" is always good.
I forgive you for not realising this all sooner solely because you admit to not being a fan.

See, here's the problem I had with the Kamehameha part. Goku had absolutely no reason to jump toward and kind of fly at Piccolo when he used it. Used properly, the Kamehameha is a long-distance projectile attack (unless it's used for a close-range kill as it was against Cell).
The Kamehameha gave me another issue: Roshi uses it to transfer life energy to Goku. Effectively, he gives Goku a close-range Kamehameha to either his face or chest when he's nearly dead ... and it helps him. In any other Dragonball product, that Kamehameha would have killed Goku, not helped him. But DB:E's logic works differently I guess.
That's my ultimate problem with the movie (besides the horrid script and terrible acting). If you're going to make a movie based on a manga, that doesn't mean that the basic rules of the original manga don't apply. An offensive weapon, which is effectively what the Kamehameha is, is not supposed to be used as a curative or an energy transfer.
One other complaint: the Dragon. A) Where was the rest of it? Why didn't it talk? (actually, that's probably a good thing)
Oh dear, can't believe I'm arguing this particular point, BUT:
All attacks - IRL and made-up - come down to energy transfer.
If I punch you in the face, I'm transferring kinetic energy from the ground, up through my legs to my shoulder, down my arm and into your jaw. That's it - energy transference.
Kamehameha does the same thing.
... excuse me while I hang myself for even arguing this.

I saw it last night. I went into this movie knowing it was going to be extremely terrible but at least aware it'd be good for some laughs (which it was), but holy fuck was it bad. The fight scenes were probably some of the worst I've ever seen, and the acting and plot were ughhhhhhhhh. At least Chi Chi was kinda hot.
As noted above by Sinewav, Chow Yun Fat needs to return to some John Woo gangster bullet ballet!
C'mon, the fight at the party was hilarious.
Also, itt Dragonball gets taken srsly

3:10. That's when this goes from simply an excellent heavy guitar driven monster, into something that sends a tingle along my spine. In a good way. A very good way.
