It all comes down to this: People will buy them, so what's the difference. Nintendo has a bigger library and (in my opinion) better games but costs a bit more. Honestly so what. Go cry about it. Are you gonna spend $600 on a PS3 so you can spend $5 on some PS1 games? I you do then I feel for you....

With most systems I'd agree with you. But after the 360 I would say you're 100% wrong about it being bad for PS3. Sure they get commission, but that doesn't mean it's a bad deal. I can't see Sony giving more than 90 days warrantee for the PS3 (and if they give a year then they're gonna have a problem...) so yea once again you're an idiot if you don't buy the service plan for the PS3. EDIT: so best buy dudes don't get commission, but we do at Game Crazy.

Why are these so expensive. you would think that when spending 600 on a system that it is going to work, what is so special about these that make them worth the money. I never buy them, and never need them. Well...a heck of a lot of 360's (we got 3 last week alone) have been coming back lately, and I would think that spending $40 on a service contract is better than spending $170 on a repair. I could only imagine what Sony'd charge for a repair...

I still say that's a pretty high price for a service contract...and you're pretty much an idiot if you don't buy one.

Concurred, about the first image. I just watched the trailer twice, really noticed that "scene" the second time even though I already liked it, in the one second it shows, the first time. Then I saw your post and for some reason had 100% perfect confidence that the first image would be what it is. I mainly just like the design of the character, and how mysterious those all those dark looking creatures are actually. This is why I don't like to think of theories. I might come to close to guessing why things are the way they are, therefore making them less mysterious. And that's why my life is better than everyone's. Who is that first character? (not midna, I'm talking about the one with his/her back turned) Blonde hair, shoulder pads... looks like Zelda to me. It is...there are a few small spoilers if you read IGN's impressions.

Just to let you guys know we got a hotmail today at Game Crazy saying that Nintendo has cut the allocations on Zelda (almost in half) and that not even preorders are guaranteed a copy on launch day. Better get there early to get one. EDIT: That's the Wii version.

I was talking to a guy in gamestop today and he said that his friend (who does reviews for EGM) just got the final gamecube version to try out. He said that the nintendo rep that gave them the game said he was "dying to tell them something secret but couldn't until tomorrow night" which leads to tonight. I'm not sure how credible this is, but I'm pretty sure a (Wii exclusive) Twilight Princess secret will be revealed tonight or soon.

I've been really busy with school so I have only played for about 5 hours thusfar. So far it has fulfilled my expectations, though.

I just hope that hard drive installation crap doesn't become standard. It's an optional install. If you want to speed up loading times they give you the option to install the game on the hard drive so it loads directly from that. If you have the 60 gig version and only a handful of PS3 games, it would definitely be worth it. Even if you had the 20 gig. Load it up once and you can play Ridge Racer with blazing load times until you decide you want to use that space for something else. Pretty cool if you ask me, and I hope more games offer this option! I tend to focus on one or two games at a time, so while I'm playing them it would be nice to be able to load them on the HD to kill any loading times. I can't believe people would complain about a feature like this... It's actually pretty cool and makes good use of that HD you are paying for. The load times wont be BLAZING. It just said that they would be reduced (to about 4 seconds for Genji, estimating in favor of Sony), since you are not installing the full game.

This had better be as good as I hope it to be. And by that I mean it'd better be absolutely nuts.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a classic-feeling point and click adventure game from the 3rd person. Only knock on it is that it's on the short side (less than 10 hours), but the plot is good. If you end up liking it, check out Touch Detective, too. They're very similar. I beat it in 5 hours but really liked it a lot. You can get it for really cheap now so I would definitely recommend getting it. Also...touch detective is similar? Aww Crap there are too many games that I have to get right now.
