I mean the (!) thing that appears in the mixer because some plugins have to "look ahead" to work and they are delayed, which means everything else has to be delayed equally to compensate.
What? I've used FL for two years and never seen anything like that.
-
You need to add the "men shouting 'hey' every two beats" loop to Rising Impact and then you will be a sure-fire win.
I know, right? haha
Also, anyone who ventures into Techno/Club/Dance for whatever reason, flag the track entitled "fasten seatbelt mix" by drink it black for copyright violations. It's got about seven minutes of Pendulum (tracks "Fasten Your Seatbelts" and "Blood Sugar") with very minimal edits. It sucks that the 21st place person got knocked out because of this, and I wouldn't want it to happen again for the top 10.
For reference (sorry I'd de-activate the embed but I don't know how to) :

Woo wooooo!~
Looks like we're both getting downvoted or something. Still a couple days left though...

Also, Audix has a track in DJ/Beats called "Rising Impact". Best of luck to the both of you this time around.
Thanks man. You guys are awesome! Nice to see some new categories I get to vote in this month.

To think I was so proud of getting that first midi posted at VGmusic, hadn't even heard of OCR then.
Why aren't you guys posting links?Dr. Fruitcake has a bunch of MIDIs there.
Yeah, he's a master of MIDI and arrangement. I've got a folder with all his work around here somewhere. I was also a big fan of Dave Phaneuf's (sp?), Daniel Witt's, and Jarel Jones's work.
-
I've got a few midi's on VGMusic myself.
Cool. Such as?

My curiosity was piqued due to a recent post. How many people here have midis posted at vgmusic? Post a link! As for myself, I have:
(N64) Banjo-Tooie- Glitter Gulch Mine (Rock Remix) (easily the best one)
(N64) Blast Corps - Credits (Rock Remix)
(N64) Beetle Adventure Racing - Coventry Cove
Link:

And yes, they're all very bad.

I'd be interested to know how many remixers around here actually have midis at vgmusic. I've got a few, but only one worth speaking of.

Ok, Theo, we listened to your tracks and your audition has been accepted. Just let us know what you want your name to be at the SM64 project forums and we'll sign you up.
In other project news, Fishy and I are now collabing on the Bowser Theme and I just put up an almost completed WIP.

This starts out promising. I like your basic groove and the bass work. Voice FX are annoying and sound very cheesy throughout. Piano starts out okay, but then the execution starts sounding awkward especially around :51. The build at 1:13 sounds a little strange, but I like the texture at 1:21 with the choir, bass, and beat. 1:35 needs work; you've got some strange harmonies that sound really dissonant. Ditto at 2:04. Good luck with it though, we need more MK64 mixes here.

I agree with Nutritious. It's a great track, but there is really is no reinterpretation of the source at all. In fact, the way the arrangement is now, I don't see how it could get a single YES. Layering beats and sounds on top of original chiptunes does not an OCRemix make, I'm afraid.

How exactly does last.fm work for updating profiles? Apparently someone already signed up with my artist name, so I have to pick a different username when I sign up. Will it then let me edit the Audix artist description or do I have to be the person who created the profile?

GT is right on, cello especially at 1:14 needs more upper presence and could stand a slight volume boost too. It's really hard to hear. Wouldn't hurt at all to bring the kick up too. Sounds great otherwise though.

Great set, nice job guys.

I'm sure just about any General MIDI sound bank soundfont would work. It won't sound exactly like it, but it will be close. Do a search for the Unison soundfont; the marimba and banjo in particular sound very close to the sounds used in the Banjo games.
-
I keep hearing things about being innovative and not putting out more of the same old shit, but to be honest, I've never seen a non-linear platformer up to the same par as Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. I'm ready for some more of that same old shit, because it hasn't really been exhausted at all.
QFE
I'm a huge fan of the original games; they should have introduced an entirely new series for this vehicle mechanic and left Banjo alone.

The people who code my DAW (FLStudio) would very likely not be interested in doing this. You'd think developers would have figured this out already but evidently not. Might as well do it third-party.
What'dya mean? Gol's always up for trying new features.

So we doing the $38 or $48 tickets? Really doesn't matter either way to me, although I have no idea how much closer the extra $10 would get us.

Yep, here: http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01706/
Also, where's Larry when you need to lock up a thread for good?

2 1/2 year bump!
Was just browsing through my remix collection tonight and came across this gem. One of my favorite OCR chill tracks, looped it three times cause it's just that good.

Hey while all ya'll kind folks are at it, why not make a little snazzy sumthin' sumthin' for A Clockwork Vampire? It's currently doing not bad but not great at 34th, and a pretty picture just might give it the extra push it needs. AMERICA STILL NEEDS YOUR HELP.
Nothing to be worried about, still plenty of time left. If anything, it's probably better to make a late push than an early one. After sitting in the top ten in three genres for the past four days, I just dropped about 50 spots down in techno to 52nd and 17 spots down to 20th in DJ/Beats.

I haven't touched my myspace in ages. (Yes, I realize the URL reflects my very old artist name.) I really need to go on a cheap friending spree, too.

Done and done. I just don't get how people think sometimes.
