  1. Gah... I have been unable to post here the last few days.

The movie was epic. Loved every minute of it. Shia was suprisingly good in the movie, I thought. I was skeptical of him being in the movie, but he seemed to pull it off, imo. :nicework:

Also, Alot of people I saw it with seemed to be wierded out about the whole alien thing - its lucas and spielberg together people. :<

  2. I didn't see a thread about this yet so...

2 more days! I am beyond exited for this movie. I hope to be seeing it thursday night, and many, many more times after. :)!!

Anyone else exited as I? No one exited at all? Discuss the new movie here.

  3. The coin launcher in my game has been quite useless for sometime now... No more new trophies seem to be earned through the launcher at all anymore. I have over 10k just sitting there. :?

    Oh.

The last time I checked, I had em up in the 9000's, so i assumed that i would now have around 10k.

  4. @ Jams survey

    1) How long have you been playing Smash?

I played it back in the day when i was a kid during the N46 days, but I never owned the game. When I got my gamecube many years later, one of the first games I purchased was Melee. I always loved fighting games, and Melee was amazing compared to the other fighting games I played like Soul Calibur and Tekken.

    2) Have you been to any tournaments for Smash 64, Melee or Brawl?

Nothing official. Aren't many tournaments where I live. Maybe I should put one on.

    3) What do you like about Smash Bros. in general?

It seems like it is just more of a tactical fighter IMO. It also plays and feels differently than most other traditional fighters. Also, the fact that it can be both a party game and a serious competitive game is great.

    4) What do you dislike about Smash Bros. in general?

Repetition. I'm sick of Classic and All-Star modes. They're so dull, especially when you need to play each around 36 times.

    qft

    5) What do you like about Brawl?

New characters and stages. Also, the game feels more balanced than the previous games.

    6) What do you dislike about Brawl?

Tripping, and its floatiness and slower gameplay. Otherwise, I love it.

    7) What made you decide to jump into the competitive scene?Like i said, not many tourneys where i live.

8 ) What are your goals as far as competitive Smash is concerned?

    I wanna pwn noobs

    9) Do you play other games competitively?

I try to play pokemon competitively.

    10) How does the community for Smash compare to the communities for other games?

    Um...

    11) Any thoughts or comments you would like to share that were not covered by these questions?

    Nope.

  5. So I've been playing Okami on Wii. It's a great game and all, but my biggest problem is not the "waggle" combat (which I actually prefer to Twilight Princess's rapid-fire style; the directional dodging with the Nunchuk could work better, but then again TP could never quite tell what should have been a shield bash from what should have been a spin strike). I have issues with the drawing, as it seems a little too strict for the pointer controls (especially on the issue of a "straight" line; it can sometimes take 2 or 3 attempts to recognize a power slash on something, although circular techniques are a little easier). Was it ever so tough to draw properly on the PS2, or is that a problem unique to the Wiimote adaptation?

Only the times when I have to draw the moon the pointer fails me. It always wants to make wind. :? I usually am able to get power slashes and whatnot the majority of the time... just hold Z and you can get them consistantly.

My issue with the game would have to be the camera control. It feels really clunky mapped to the D-Pad, and makes me wish I had it on a 2nd analogue stick most of the time. :|

  6. I wouldn't listen to them on my own time, but they have a great live show. ROCK TRIANGLE.

I was thinking of seeing them back in October (I believe), but let the show pass me by.

Not a day goes by in which I don't feel the stabbing pain of regretting that decision.
