  1. So how does one lacking in Brawl skillz get their act up to snuff? Are we like the Saiyans, who emerge from every defeat a bit stronger?

I have never owned a Nintendo TV console, so I missed out on the first 2 (though I've played them at friends' and such). Brawl will be my entry point into TEH SERIUS FIGHT0RZ.

Train with level 9's alot (although that can only do so much) and fight LOTS of people.

That's how I *try* to get better.

  2. Sigh... Why must most of the stages suck? At first I was in love with them, but as I played more and unlocked all of them, the good stages are definitely outnumbered by bad stages. The only ones I can say I truly love are Final Destination, Battleground, the MGS stage, the new Starfox Stage, Luigi's Mansion, and the Bridge of Eldin along with a few others. I just like simple, straightforward stages I guess.

The Electroplankton stage is ok for two players, IMO, but when I brought four players on it, it was bad. Waaaaaaaay to cramped.

  3. I like the new Ice Climbers level. New Pork City has potential, but it is just so zoomed out from your character that it sort of makes it harder to play. :? If I want a big stage, I'll just go to the Temple stage from melee, which I am glad they brought back btw. I miss Termina Bay, though.

I kinda hope that Nintendo releases another set of stages in the future through WiiWare or something. I'd love to see a few more really good stages, like the new star fox stage which I am in LOVE with.

  4. I see your Spear Pillar and raise you a New Pork City.

Something about Palkia and Dialga summoning giant beams to kill me, inverting the map, and slowing time does not amuse me, and really pisses me off at times.

Both the worst of brawls stages though, imo.

  5. I have a mixture of mp3's and aac's in my collection. Both are fine with me... I don't really care too much to convert my collection to all mp3's or aac's. If the songs sound good and have a listenable bitrate I will be ok.:-)

  6. Umm... You brought a Wii, T.V, sensor bar, Controller (Or Wiimote, whichever,) Power and input cords, and a game? If I tried that, I'd get caught red-faced.

By the way, great game! Pikachu still rocks!

Well, I brought the game and a friend of mine brought his Wii (he doesn't have the game yet). In my high school we have sort of an abandoned Photography room that is only used to store recyclable items, so we basically hid in there half the day with one of the schools projectors battling and playing a little subspace. It was great... we did it again today. ^__^

After playing more brawl, I can't help but wishing that their was a little... more. Besides SSE, more stages, characters, items, etc, I feel that their needs to be more change. :? Ah well, still a great game.

  7. I love SSE, but I kinda just want it to be over now so I can have all me characters! It is much longer than I thought it would be.

I brought brawl to school today and played it during a few of my hours where I don't really have anything to do. Yes, I am addicted.:)!! It was great.

  8. What controller to all of you use? I find myself using the classic controller as my #1 choice. At first it took some getting use to but now it works great. I have yet to try nunchuk + remote or just remote... any body here a fan of them?

  9. Best Game Ever.

I have been playing this nonstop since i picked it up today. Subspace Emmisary is a BLAST.

I have yet to jump into WiFi (I currently do not have the ability to), but I have played a few rounds with my brother and it was awesome. Meta Knight would have to be my new favorite character, but that might change once I get more unlocked. I find the stages far superior to melees, and the option to change the probability of which songs will appear in them is great! The soundtrack is awesome, too. Now I just want to play more. :)!!

  10. MY QUESTION THEN: Anyone here play competitively? Is Garchomp too cheap for OU? If this does not apply to you, what are you doing in DP these days instead?

I wouldn't say I play competitively mainly because of the lack of players around where I live and my lack of motivation to do anything competitive online. I am working on a decent team though, fully ev trained and whatnot. I really don't try to breed for good IV's though. Takes too much time.
