Platonist here again after a nice summer vacation.
Reunion is back on track and the first track I release is my homage to bLiNd (you rock dude!) made with a very old and pathetic software called Impulse Tracker (cvs schism clone for windows, uh)

192kbps MP3 does not effectively remove 92% of data. There have been plenty of blind and double-blind tests done on the topic; even in lab settings, 192kbps MP3 is nearly indistinguishable from lossless. Almost any differences you hear can be attributed to pure psychological effects.

but 192kbps is the absolute edge. i can clearly tell the difference. but im not everyone. i prefer 256 or higher.. but VBR is where i usually end up in my encodes

Never finished this track, and probably never will. So I used it to play around with Video Editing software. Pretty sweet result for a first time video, no?

Sorry for idling around reunion, even we have tons of music queued up for release! And this time we release 3 tracks! 1st one comes from longtimer Candybag; a track entitled The Epiphany.
The 2nd one has been up on protagonist for a while, to finally find its way here. jayyAustin gives us his Nascence!
And we welcome the reuniverse newcomer called Hy Bound, whose track, Grumbletrau, also got released on Protagonist (sgx, yay!) a while back. Enjoy!

Good stuff, I'm curious where this all started. This is the first I've heard of the term "ReNix", and I'd like to know more about the Netlabel. Any other info?

i started tracking in 1998. Woho! but i didn't try out remixing until ~2000 i think.. it was really bad ^^ Final Fantasy 7 - You can hear the cry.... rmx. hah good thing i didn't know about ocr back then ^^ i was still 15 years old and well, it blew.
I've played the guitar since 1997, mostly acoustic rhythm guitar. but also some picking (fingers, no pick). Piano has been around for ages, but I never got into it for real, even if I've "plink-plonked" on it during my entire life.
uhm. did a Terra rmx & a Forested Temple rmx in 2002, but that was also before i heard about the site. lost my internet connection in 2003. came back online 2006, started reunion and submitted my first ReMix in fall 2007. even if i did it as a joke, it passed
but whatever, there you have it

Most tracks on the compilation have been released as singles earlier on / today. I just thought this'd help some people to find some cool dancy tracks on the site.
Now they don't have to GO THROUGH ALL 150+ TRACKS ON THE SITE to find the dansflore fillers and/or figure out who to follow on reunion. This gives a great overview, imo. and it's also fun fun fun to compile stuff!

The Solar Jetman RNX is the same as the one available here on OCR - but with other id3tags - EXPECT MORE REUNION REMIXES in the future!!!
The Remember track is an old chiptune thing i did just before reunion opened that never got posted. I took heavy inspiration from mad max and his Wings of Death soundtrack for the Amiga ST.

Life Force was released in Europe as well. And it's always been my favorite Gradius Installment. And this track is just amazing! the source is my favorite of the whole ost and Jorge really does it justice!
the slow tempo and the big, orchestra-in-space feel really does it for me... if it only were 2 minutes longer!!!
oh well, i'll have to put it on repeat then!

Great programming and guitarplay! Top Notch.
also, i love how the lead guitar somewhat feels like it's in the background.

Dude! Ever since i heard "Swinging With Death" i just fell in love with your style. and you have not ceased to impress me - all three posted remixes with your name on it pwn the hell out of me. To tackle this theme so smoothly is definitely a feat in it self, so just keep doing it man. GREAT STUFF!

It's been a little delayed! However, here are the 2 tracks planned for January Release, in the last minute. Spiffy and clean trance stuff by jayyAustin from duo PhiJayy, who debuts under his solo project, and a twisted electro track by Candybag, who Returns after a long hiatus! WB M8!
The Next Release will be #150 and it will come with a new, more flexible torrent, As well as a modified website and 2 cool surprises!
