A Realm Reborn: Final Fantasy XIV Online
Thin Crust replied to Malaki-LEGEND.sys's topic in General Discussion
Woah, they introduced Rogue and Ninja as the new class and job. This is an interesting move for me because we already have 2 melee DPS classes. How can they mix it up enough to warrant another one? Musketeer sounds like a better choice because there's only 1 ranged physical DPS class which is bard. And that one is more of a support role anyway. On a side note, does anyone have any good stories about an experience with this game yet? I'll tell you one. I was either crafting or gathering (don't remember which) in the north shroud when I had just switched classes back to my main (white mage) I was still at next to nothing HP/MP when I drew aggro from a group of high level mobs. I did my best to combat and run from them casting sleep, regen, fluid aura(spell that pushes enemy away) and I could tell that I was down to the wire. There were still 4 of them left and there was no way I could manage to win even with my iLevel 70 WHM just because all my abilities were on cooldown and I was at zero HP/MP to start. Just when I was about to give up, right out no where, a chocobo leveling party swooped in and insta killed all of the remaining mobs. I just stood there dumbfounded at what I just witnessed. Your turn! -
Is anyone interested in The Last of Us dungeon coming?

DING! Next platinum. Far Cry 3! Oh, and for some reason it didn't sync one and only one trophy from inFAMOUS 2. My PS3 got reformatted when I sent it in for repairs so I can't get this trophy unless I start over. This is the absolute worst trophy to get too. What one is it? Get the evil ending. I'd rather get all the blast shards then do that one again. Grrrrr. Well, guess I'll do a speed run of it really quick to get that one. EDIT: Just finished the speed run. Didn't do a single sidequest. The evil ending is just so sad. Anyway, that's 14 platinum trophies. Looking closely, I actually could get the Final Fantasy XIV one pretty easily. The only ones left that would cause trouble would be to fish 1000 times, and complete the Binding Coil of Bahamut. And considering I have a iLevel 90 White mage, and I have beaten turns 1-4 as well as completed all the extreme primals, turn 5 doesn't seem like it would be such a problem to finish. Especially now that there are higher tier weapons and armor out there. I already have all crafting classes maxed so all I would need to do is quick synth my way to all of the crafting trophys out there. Thing is though, that game really left a bad taste when I left so I don't think I would be returning to it ever.

The biggest surprises for me were the fact that you could jump into someone's far cry 4 game even if you don't own the game. Also, with the release of GTA 5 on PS4, you are able to transfer your online saves from PS3 and Xbox 360 to PS4. First time I have seen that before. Let's see..... also playstation now could be run on a smart TV without a console. That's cool. Oh, and also that the next demon souls (blood bourne) is exclusive to PS4. That was a shocker. EDIT: Oh, and don't forget that now you can use the share button to upload to your youtube channel.

A Realm Reborn: Final Fantasy XIV Online

Cool. Let me give you a couple pointers to get you started. 1. Never ever kill trash mobs for exp. There are more than enough ways to get exp and that way is slowest. When you go to do your level 1 class quest you are given a hunting log. That is a great way to start getting experience. There are also levequests you can get at the adventurer's guild, and FATE grinding. These 3 things are the earliest ways open to you to get started. 2. Your starting class determines the city you start at. You are going to be stuck in that region until your lvl 15 story quest. Make sure you two pick classes that start in the same city. Archer, lancer, conjurer starts at Gridania (like Rivendel). Thrumaturge, gladiator, pugilist start in Ul'Dah (Desert industrial city). Arcanist, Maruader and future class Musketeer start in Limsa Lominsa(pirate town on the water.) 3. When you level your first class to 10 and you complete your lvl 10 class quest, you have the option to switch classes. For example, I played a conjurer (white mage) but thurmaturge (black mage) has an ability that you learn at lvl 26 called swift cast. When I am a white mage in a big battle, you can't stop for 8 seconds to cast raise so you use the cross class ability swift cast to instantly raise. Being able to level up any and every class you want is one of the games greatest strengths. Let us know how you do and if you need any help. -

ow! Went into my workout today and must have pulled something. Not sure what it was but I couldn't get through my first set of pull ups. It hurts kind of anterior to my left armpit. Think I'm going to skip it today and just do an extra long cardio. EDIT: Oh, and one more thing. you see this list of videos? I did every last one of them. I can't believe it. -
Fortunately resection of the colon is a safe and effective procedure. My concern is if it has progressed to stage 2 yet and that's why they are also going with the chemo option. I would really like to see what a PET/CT would show on him.
-
Do we know what kind of cancer he has? What type of chemo he's going to do? How far it's staged? I work with cancer patients everyday, I have a unquenching need to know these things. TB is the savior of E-Sports. We need him!

Well, one hour of frisbee gives me 408 points. 2 hours of frisbee gives me 937. Think it's different for cardio vs resistance training? -

That's odd. 2 chin-ups gives you 27 points. 10 chin-ups gives you 92. 2*5=10 27*5=135 Seems like they missed out on giving me points. Oh, and I'm up to 10 chin ups. Next week I'll be up to 10 pull ups. -

Booya! 8 pull-ups. A month ago I couldn't do 1. Also it helps that I rested yesterday and only played basketball. -

No no no, you see its..... uh... Well? Tell you what, let me take a picture of myself really quick. Stupid gut. Just got finished with today's workout. Anyway, as you can see, I'm not exactly fat, and I have never been weak. I may be new to actually lifting weights, but with the Pallof Press, I am using 13 out of 16 weights. And on the machine ab crunches, I have it set at 14 out of 16 weights. I don't see anyone using near that weight. And considering that within a couple hours drive, there is Fort Bragg, Cherry Point Marine Air Station, Camp Lejeune, Elizabeth Air Station and National Strike Force, and a few others, the only young people you see here are all in the armed services. And I'm doing it heavier then them? I have a suspicion that I'm doing it wrong, but looking at proper technique, I can't see what that might be. What I'm trying to say is, I didn't start small so the increases in my workouts are more on the high end and consequently, harder to pull off then if you had started at a much lower level. In other words, I'm happy with the progress that I have made since starting. EDIT: Oh, and about deadlifts. I'm sorry, but every time without fail, when I think about deadlifts So I can't see myself doing them. -
LOL, look at general bingo card. The first box under "o". "Someone says something stupid" Well that's going to be a given.

Well, I have been going to the gym everyday for 29 days and today marks the second time I have increased the weight. If you look at my fitocracy profile you can see all the details of what I have been doing. I can gladly say with confidence that the workouts are working. I have also increased my pull up capacity from barely not able to do 1, to 5. This is better than I could have imagined. And you say that I can improve even more dramatically? count me in! However, I must also say that I only care about getting rid of this gut that I have had my entire life. My arms and legs are plenty strong enough. I can leg press 650 lbs. I got called in a while ago and had to do a V/Q scan on an immobile 300 lb patient. By myself, I pulled her on to my imaging table and then back onto her bed when I was done. I have all the strength I need for the life I lead. I used to do cycling ..... you know, . But I found that it wore my legs out a little bit so that I didn't have enough to efficiently do my cardio later on. So I needed a lower abdominal workout that doesn't tire out muscle groups that I didn't want to work. I switched to leg lifts. Lately I have found that if I concentrate on tensing up my abs, it doesn't arch my back as much. I'm going to find out if there is a machine to do the other kind of leg raises. The one where you support yourself on your elbows and forearms and bring your legs horizontal. Don't think there is a machine in my gym for that though. Unless you can suggest a different one. Also, please don't think I ignore people here. I really appreciate all the help I have gotten so far. -

Those aren't abdomin focused. And I don't need more leg strength. -

I'm actually going to need a little advice. My workout is focused solely on my torso. I have machine ab crunches for upper abdominals, pallof press for obliques, crunches for general abdominals, and leg lifts for lower abdominals. But there is a problem with leg lifts. My legs are way too heavy and muscular that doing them is actually hurting my back. Can anyone suggest a different lower body abdominal workout that I can do? -
Actually pretty far off on last gen sales. And Xbox 360 came in last. Since the announcement of the XBone, there have been so many radical changes to the policy and now hardware. Overall, do you think this is enough to get back into the good graces of gamers everywhere?

I don't know.... After my brother's wedding I plan on stopping alltogether and just watching my diet. (Thanks to everyone here for dieting instructions). Let's see if I continue afterward or not. I feel like I have improved greatly since I started a month ago. -

Metal Gear Saga. The song is absolutely perfect for ending a run. Sprint for the good parts, and cool off for the other parts. Give it a listen and see what I mean.

Actually when it spoiled inFAMOUS Second Son and Last of Us, I was watching a playthrough of Remember Me. Who knew?

Yea, I'm on a total media blackout for a lot of games. Let's see, that includes: last of us killzone shadowfall beyond 2 souls tomb raider metal gear solid ground zeroes/phantom pain bioshock 3 journey Wow, my list of games to play is getting really small. There are only about 15 left.
