  1. This is fantastic I do like the lyrics (especially the ending) and it's about time for a W&W mix. I'd love to see the lyrics sometime as well. Great to listen on the headphones as well. Congrats ~jace
  2. Hey all... I need some help. I drastically need some rhythm guitar, that chugga-chugga in my song. But either Slayer isn't for me or I can't find out how to use it well enough. I know you great remixers have synthed guitars and leads in FL... so how do you do it? Is there a particular VST you used? Or do I need a tutorial in how to make Slayer sound good? Thanks everyone... you rock ~jace
  3. Oh man... I got choked up hearing this What a wonderful accomplishment to OcRemix's legacy; the best album yet. Congratulations to all! It makes me want to try harder so that someday I might be included Kudos to everyone! Nice job with the singing, Jill! Thanks to everyone who "did it again" ~jace
  4. Fantastic. Very well done. A little work with panning, and a bit of reverb could really make this song a well done piece. I love the feel a lot. Make it a bit louder and it'd be the bomb Check out my track as well and tell me what you think: Check my work (To The Spinning Tower) - OverClocked ReMix Forums Good job ~jace
  5. WoW... that was fantastic. I really like it! Fantastic job... A+ ~jace
  6. Very nice. You're doing what I'm trying to I like them a lot. What did you use? I love the mixing of the strings and piano. It sounds very epic and storyline like! I enjoyed the subtle melodies that you used. Very polyphonic. I liked the use of those little twinkling bells. What are those called again? The long tubes on a vertical bar. If you know where I could get a sample of that I would be grateful Very excellent variation of instruments and tones. Kudos to you! Congratulations! If you have some time, comment on mine as well: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=11885 Thanks! Keep going for it! ~Jace
  7. Thanks a lot! That really encourages me to try my hand at remixing! I'm excited now! ~jace
  8. Hi All... I've been creating music with FL Studio XXL for almost half a year now, and I've created a song I'm really proud of. I've created complex songs, techno songs, orchestral songs, etc and all I've been proud of but not enough to post here Well, I was goofing off on the piano and I found a melody I liked. I wanted to keep things relatively simple for this song, but I found myself using a fast tempo. I used the BEST drum soundfont (Ken Ardency), a soundfont piano, with Sytrus Bass, Pad, and Sequenced something or other . I found a bongo loop off of the Freesound Project. All in all, I had fun making it and was done with the finished product in about two and a half hours. What I'd love is to hear comments on the song... if there's things that you think should me made better. I've struggled with stereo panning a lot (how to get the instruments to have their own "space" on the spectrum) and overall sound. I can also post the FLP file if anyone wants to look at it... If you guys like this, I might try my hand at Remixing. Thanks a lot, everyone! ~Jace http://www.gerlachmedia.com/to%20the%20Spinning%20Tower.mp3
  9. Awesome. I'm going to do Dragor's tutorials. They look like what I'm looking for. Many thanks! ~jace
  10. I've been using FL Studio 7 XXL now (yay! I got it off of www.academicsuperstore.com for cheap) and every song that I've made has been a little muddy and tends to get quite loud. Does anyone have any tips for getting richer, more stereo sound like the stuff I hear here on OCR? Is there some sort of secret or panning? or is it just something to learn over time? Thanks for your help! ~jace
