  2. Hi there! Once again I made a dnb-rock-styled track, but this time with the ORIGINAL melody, lyrics and (of course!) my own vocals . I was inspired to write the song by the story of "Green Boots" and the plot of the "Celeste" game. Each of us has a mountain that we want to conquer, and it often happens that when we get to the top of this mountain, we realize that this is not the limit and that there are higher peaks that we have not yet been to. The song is about that . Available on Spotify, Apple Music and any other music streaming service you like. And of course - Bandcamp! Thanks and have a nice day!
  3. Howdy everyone. My most recent submission was rejected, and I would like to ask for help! I am reworking some of the remix's composition, especially the beginning. I've posted both the submitted version of the remix [Reshiram/Zekrom] and my current WIP [Minccino] below. My biggest hurdle in re-submission is this: the judges' most prominent critique of this remix is the mixing, which to be frank is something of which I understand very, very little. I've tried to learn what I can over the years, but I always get lost in a soup of foreign terminology and differences in audio which I have trouble quantifying or sometimes find indistinguishable. So... I would love to find someone who could shape this up for me. (My DAW is FL Studio 20.) Otherwise, I would appreciate feedback in the most layman terms you can possibly give. link to the Judges Decision thread Here's the original version I submitted (and which was rejected): Here's my current WIP version:
  4. Someone mentioned this track at some point in the discord and it stuck in my head and I love it a billion, so I've been working on a remix. There's two versions of the track that I've seen online. Having never played the game, I represented them both. Originals in their various versions: Here's my remix: Enjoy, and lemme know if I should submit it as is or not.
  5. Hey guys! This one gave me a LOT of work, but it was fun! I went for a Liquid Tension/Dream Theater vibe (minus keyboard stuff), I figured it would sound great since it has all these different sections. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out, hope you like it. Let me know what you think
  6. What did you think? I obviously thought it kicked plentiful ass... post YOUR opinions of this ReMix
  7. Dear OCR community, I have a small Youtube channel which features VGM focused on old DOS or retro games (Lands of Lore, C. Keen, Major Stryker, etc., see this link). Since 2017 we (my buddy and I) have been working on a full album of original independent and alternative rock music Wuxpoint, and we have our debut album out today on all mainstream platforms. This album features invited independent artists, some instrumental tracks, and a mixture of influences like electronics, acid-jazz, funk and beyond. We heavily used iconic analog hardware devices (Mesa Boogie, Bogner, SSL 4000, Roland Space Echo, old Eventide units, etc.) throught all the production process, resulting in a "retro" sound. The Single preceding this album is currently on airplay on 9 community radios in 3 countries (US, FR, LUX). If you'd go for some VGM feeling, I'd suggest you first check the following tracks: A raindy day (ambient electro) Downtown trip (outrun-like, driving your car near the coastline with some twists) Uptown mystery (P&C mystery rock puzzle) Farewell (acid-jazz vibes, Keen stuff) Recycled minicycle (Boss fight in hardware mode, including different boss patterns) Enjoy it at the following links: 𝘚𝘱𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘺 https://open.spotify.com/artist/4lquyxfpbX8y75TuhJ9iV2 𝘋𝘦𝘦𝘻𝘦𝘳 https://www.deezer.com/fr/artist/156634612 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘦 https://music.apple.com/fr/artist/wuxpoint/1603565072 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘣𝘦 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnB-EzFSBR4od4werfrENqA Thanks dear OCR Community!
  8. Punch-Out!! 'Little Mac's Confession' I'll just start by saying this: I'm generally opposed to adding lyrics to instrumental video game music, since I think the music should be able to speak for its self. Nevertheless, this song is VERY well done, and the lyrics add a lot to it (except for the "Punch out!", which I found more than a little cheesy). This is definitely something I would listen to again, so give it a try regardless of your stance on lyrics. And if you like your VG music with lyrics, then there shouldn't be any doubt, should there?
  9. Thanks to the talent of @TeraCMusic, @VelkkuEvilBastard, @pixelchips and @Dextastic, here is a remix from "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" to celebrate the holiday season ! A huge thank you to everyone involved in this project -- you guys are the best ! HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!
