Ugh. Yet again another Final Fantasy VII remix has my stomach churning with nostalgia. It's songs like this that remind me of why I fell in love with Final Fantasy VII in the first place.

I registered on here... well, I forget when but it seems like a really long time ago. I forgot about this place until I got an e-mail about the Voices of the Lifestream thingy and remembered about OCRemix. And back I came. It only just occurred to me that it may be worth my while becoming an (at least semi-) regular posting person on the forums here, so "Hey there! :D" So while I may not be a newbie chronologically speaking, I'm a newbie for all practical purposes.

I would like to try my hand at making a ReMix, this is, admittedly, just a whim so I've no intention of purchasing any expensive software or instruments to work with. Should I give up now or can I still (potentially) make a ReMix? Do I need to own the game from which I want to make a music mix, or is it possible to get the original tracks from the internet to work with? Is this question applicable from both a practical and legal standpoint? I have a laptop computer, so I'm stuck with the amount of RAM, etc. at my disposal, which mixing software would be most advisable for a complete beginner with no technical experience and limited computer power?

Well, I have to confess that I'm not really very eloquent when it comes to writing reviews for musical pieces, I'm not really sure what constitutes a well written critique. So I'll have to sum up my feelings for "Black Wing Metamorphosis" with this comment: OMG! I LOVE THIS SOOOO MUCH! I suspect it will become one of my favourite OCRemixes (there are a lot that I consider my favourite, but still...)
