  1. Yep. Sounds about right. Only a lot tinier needles. You guys want something original? Okay. The Paper Blade (w/hint of lemon juice). Just like it sounds it's a blade made of paper. It gives people paper-cuts. The lemon juice then seeps into the wound, substantially increasing the pain factor.
  2. I don't know. It just sounds cool to me. What would you want to see in a weapon? FYI, it doesn't have to be physically plausible, because it'd be in a game. Oh, while I'm at it, here's another ridiculously awesome idea: The Leech Dart. This biomechanical nightmare is basically everything that a Metroid does to a person after latching onto their face, packed inside a readily accessible projectile. The only difference being that instead of it taking a few seconds to drain away their life energy, giving them a few moments time to yank it out and throw it back at you (although that could be cool too), it happens instantaneously.
  3. I wont get a blog for the following reasons: A) They're too much work. B)No one looks at them but the person writing them and people who stumble on them by accident (who never go there again) C)Because you told me to after questioning the greatness of purplecowdom, and I resent that. I'd like to see a pistol that shoots needles. No, not the Needler. Not the Spiker either. I mean like the needles you get shots with, minus the syringe. Shooting someone with it would be easy, but it would demonstrate true skill in the player that kills with it, as you would need to hit your target perfectly through a vital point on their body to kill them (Such as the heart or brain) Unlike other guns though, only these types of places would kill anyone at all. Other spots wouldn't ever kill someone, even if they were one shot away from being dead.
  4. I...have remembered...something awesome!!! I have no idea if it's the official version or what, but it's still really cool (and kinda funny)! I give you...The German Final Countdown Song!!! (Please ignore the video being played with the music. I was looking for something else at the time and found this by accident. Favorited it just for the tune on it!) German Final Countdown Props to the person who can find this song to download somewhere...I couldn't. And when I can't find something I'm looking for on the net...you know something's gone terribly wrong. (Ego shining through permanently blinds innocent pedestrians...I apologize to them...)
  5. Well I actually like the lyrics quite a bit, but I can definitely agree with you about the song being a bit more than 8-bit. I rushed the example after I saw Darksworde's post, so now you know why. It seems a thread can get closed off faster than a bathroom full of people who ate at White Castle, so here, I'm aiming to please. Also, way to fight the power man! Go Zune! Ipod can suck it! (Feeling the ironic hypocrisy of this statement following the previous one)
  6. Okay. Here's one: Not the perfect example, as just about all rock songs seem to translate perfectly into nes format and vice versa. But hey! It's a start. Scratch that. This one's perfect: Star Wars Cantina with hand farts I've noticed that some of you don't seem to understand what I meant in the initial post. Firstly, Through the Fire and Flames doesn't work by itself because it isn't a remix, and SMBZ, while an excellent sprite series I'd quickly recommend to anyone interested, is a video, not a song. Not trying to be evil here. Just saying.
  7. And we, the goers of the thread shall prove it! In this thread, what you do is post videos of songs made from a source most people would never expect to work in that genre. Extreme Example: A lullaby meant to put to sleep done in death metal as a wake-up call. New rule: No tunes from OCR! They do songs like this 24/7!
  8. Then why are you here? Very cool. Now we're gettin' somewhere. I shall try to build on this dynamic. Hmm.................................................................................................................................. Okay how about this: To start with it's a giant four-point shuriken that you control with electromagnetics, but if you press hard into a tiny point in the middle of it, it splits into two halves which can be used as blades individually or reconnected at the tips to form a bow with syphoning plasma for a bowstring (which could be pulled back like any other bowstring using special gloves).
  9. It was in the off topic section because that's where I thought it should be. I forget the reason why, but yeah. For those that disagree, sorry. My bad.
  10. Yes, well, that's very nice. Your opinions have been noted and will promptly be disregarded as extremely rude and unnecessary. The wonderful thing about threads is that the ones you don't like, you don't have to participate in. Isn't that great? I already did my hypothetical weapon for the night. This is me, going to bed.........surround sound snore.........
  11. And why exactly am I not aloud to post in my own thread? Seriously now. Free country USA guys. Get a moderator in here if you hate me that much. The rest of us will continue to do our own thing until then. Now: What we need here is something like Samus' grapple beam, only the beam is emitted from a very large spike which you could yank the victim onto. Then throw them at someone else. Or use them as a shield.
  12. Okay. Today, I have a simple one. In my defense though, I have yet to see this done! Propane tank + shurikens + lighter + throwing thingie = Flaming shurikens! The closest to this I've seen was in Rachet & Clank, and that was acid shurikens. Someone tell me if I'm wrong!
  13. So do you pull on their tails or blow a dog whistle to launch the bees? Now: The Forever Elusive Wood Beam!
  14. .........oh. Okay! Now I remember! She was the teacher lady right? Man. First homosexuals in FFVII, then teachers w/whips in FFVIII, and beastiology in FFIX. Wonderful. Good plots, weird people. This should be Square Enix's new motto. Now: A glove that uses electromagnetic field manipulation to control two independently-spinning circular saw blades stuck together like one blade through a mobile space-time rift. It's basically a glorified chainsaw, only a lot cooler, a lot quicker, and a lot messier. Actually, scratch that. Make it a sphere of blades spinning in opposing directions in a space-time rift! Much better. Yes. I am pleased with this (nods head with eyes closed and arms folded).
  15. Seriously? I've played all the Final Fantasy games from the NES through the PSX, so unless FFX, XI, or XII have such a weapon, I'm pretty sure it hasn't been done yet. Are you referring to the sprite effects of earlier games? Because looking like an explosion on impact and actually being an explosion on impact are two completely different things. Now: The Mighty Foot (blatant copyright infringement) A giant metal foot is launched up into the sky (like a mortar) and down onto the helpless victims. *Squish!*
  16. I've seen plenty of threads on other boards all over the place that do just fine! Now get out!
  17. A whip w/a small, self-replenishing, low-grade explosive mounted on the tip. It would take a bit of extra skill to master since damage done from anything but the tip would be next to nothing and the explosive wouldn't detonate without a direct hit. Indy meets demo squad!
  18. Le pointy stick. No. Actually what I have in mind is a special staff that can absorb or reflect bullets made up of certain energy types and fire them back. Only a certain number of course. Otherwise it would be cheating. Maybe it could be all-powerful in some kind of sandbox mode. Anyway, think gravity gun only with energy, not barrels.
  19. The Slice-net. Kinda like the one used by the Predator in AVP, except instead of it just being used on a single target, you could use it to slice through as many targets as you have room for by adjusting the length of the cables. It would launch six gravity-defying metal orbs outwards with three orbs on each side holding three different cables. Basically a giant egg slicer.
  20. I'll start with this one: A gun that makes all the hairs on the target's body stand up, become hard as steel, and shoot backwards into the target's own body and out the other side simultaneously.
  21. I know it's already been officially re-done by Capcom's own people, but would anyone be interested in making a mix of "Cold Smile"? Come to think of it, I'm not sure how this could be improved by much. Still, props to anyone who can pull it off. I've decided that the "Water City" tune would be good too. Anybody?
  22. Definitely not talking about the fan-movie! That thing is a filthy piece of flaming crap I wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole! I think I saw the thing about the real Zelda movie on IGN along with that fake trailer of theirs, but it's been a while, so I'd have to check to make sure. In any case, google Zelda movie or something and you'll probably find an article or two about the real thing eventually. I'd think it's still in the contract stage like the Metroid movie though. Speaking of which, speaking as a hardcore Metroid fan, I'd go see that just to laugh at whoever ended up being stuck in the power suit running around (like Paris Hilton...-chills of horror-). ...Nevermind...
  23. I just got done playing through Okami a week or so ago and I've come to love the music throughout! "Reset" ~"Thank You" Version~ was already done by McVaffe, so now we need Ryoshima Coast II. I actually think that this tune is better than Reset, although Reset has the "perfect closing music" factor, which puts it a bit higher. In any case, yeah. Ryoshima Coast II people! I just thought of another great idea! How about this? Someone should do Tsuzurao's Theme complete with sexy noises like the original as a gag remix (like the gag LoZ remix "The Music of My Groin")! Someone do this soon please! I forgot something inportant! For anyone who decides to have a go at this, you can download the entire soundtrack at bluelaguna.net. Just that it's really big and the site makes you download all the tracks individually (Since I actually did that, does that mean I have no life?). Use the second mirror. The first one's no good. 'Save link as'... Thank you for supporting the thread Berty200!
