  1. Cheers! Glad you enjoyed. I'm still working on getting used to how to record certain things with my mic, so I'll definitely work on that in future. I was considering on making it longer but I was pushed for recording time, hence the semi-abrupt ending. Provided I can think of more additions I may well expand on it!
  2. Thanks for the feedback! The quality of my production is something I've been trying to work on for a while, but I'm not quite sure how to go about it or where to start. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm not sure if it's the way I record things or if it's in the mixing process. Yeah, it is haha. It didn't come out as clear (or as bassy) on the recording as I'd have liked unfortunately – I did actually double track that, although it's kinda hard to tell. Since it's the first time I've had a proper mic to work with I'm still getting the hang on what way to angle/point it when I do things.
  3. Wanted to test out my new NT2-A for music, so I settled on one of the neatest and ostensibly most remixed source tune in game history. Shades of bossanova. Enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/fish-and-swallow/corridor-of-time
  4. so this one's actually been finished for a while but I figured I'd like to get some feedback on it. this is an arrangement of about six different Ace Attorney tracks from the first Phoenix Wright game to Apollo Justice (eight tracks if you count redone old themes for Dual Destinies). arrangement is piano, acapella/vocalising, guitar, light percussion Turnabout 'Til We Meet Again I'm looking for feedback re arrangement mostly, I know the quality leaves a bit to be desired (hahaha…) and I'm planning to rerecord the whole thing later on with a decent microphone. influence behind style is "I want to record Beirut covers but I don't have brass instruments so I'm just gonna use my voice for almost everything for the next three years". tracks are Cross Examination ~ Moderate 2001 (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney) Phoenix Wright ~ Objection! 2001 (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney) Phoenix Wright ~ Objection! 2002 (Justice For All) Phoenix Wright ~ Objection! 2004 (Trials and Tribulations) Courtroom Lobby ~ New Prelude (Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney) Apollo Justice ~ A New Trial Is In Session! (Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney) Phoenix Wright ~ Objection! 2013 (Dual Destinies) Apollo Justice ~ I'm Fine! (Dual Destinies) I did a full acapella arrangement of the Ace Attorney End theme a while back as well.
  5. Really love this. It's been a while since I listened to any purely orchestral remixes and this one was spec-ta-cu-lar C: It had a really soaring, dynamic, adventurous feel to it and I enjoyed it immensely. Great stuff!
  6. Genius stuff here, I love it. Brilliant to hear some ilp0 again It's simple and uncluttered but still manages to be quite bold and powerful and leaves quite an impression, at least on me. Forever enjoying the Western/Spaghetti elements. I'm sticking this one on my iPod rn ;]
  7. :D Thank you very much! C:

Ohh awesomesauce. I'm lookin' forward to it!! :)

  8. happy birthday! :)

we're still gonna make that song.. i'm just waiting for Proto to upload his DAMN parts. :P

  9. I really enjoyed listening to this, it was super-cool I'm not very good at critique much when it comes to rock, so I can't really say anything useful on the whole >____> But I will say I flipped out a little bit when the Aerith quote came in at... 3:20-ish? Mostly because kind of sudden and 'harsh'. You could probably make it sound a bit softer though, volume wise and such. Maybe a bit more echo and some sort of filter on it (bass reduction?)? A very nice touch though! (I can critique more on a tiny little bit of voice acting than on the actual music. Something is wrong here. ...Sorry >___>)
  10. i will keep that in mind :)

  11. Ahaha xD I can 'lend' them to you anytime you want ;)

  12. i want your vocals :3

  13. Oh man oh man. I love your stuff. This is so awesome Great job!
  14. THIS IS SO RAD. I love it! 8D ^ This comment is brilliant and I agree with it 100%. In a good way of course.
  15. I return with another acappella/acoustic guitar arrangement... again just for fun >w> Term three just ended (last holiday before NCEA3 final exams... gah) so I decided it'd be fun to do one of these again. Recently I've developed a fondness for Auron's theme so I decided to cover it similar-ish to my Costa de Sol cover, although I didn't do the second half of the piece. I'm quite proud of how this turned out actually, despite the slighty 'messiness' to the second half. I don't like looping a track when I'm playing live so I ended up playing the same notes over and over again, but that's okay. I think it sounds more natural that way (because... it is natural). I accidentally overplayed two bars at the end - when I realised this I was in the middle of recording so I had to improv. it, haha. That became the ending. Original source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4iwYgd9N3Y And here's my arrangement -> http://www.box.net/shared/m2alr82mau Hope you enjoy - and again, critique or comments are appreciated
