  1. I'm trying to record my guitar into FL Studio but i don't have an audio interface so it sounds terrible. My setup right now is my guitar plugged into my Line 6 120W Spider 3 and my amp is connected to the integrated audio in my laptop which just isn't working for me. It won't record clearly. Can you recommend a good audio interface that would help me achieve what i'm trying to do. Prefferably for under £200 because i'm a student and i don't have much money. Thanks.

  2. So an audio interface will amke all the hissing and latency go away as well? Will i still be able to use my amp? I have Guitar Rig 4 but it would keep giving me horrible feedback, i'd have to turn the input and output right down, but then it was too quiet. Was this because i was plugged straight into integrated audio as well?

EDIT: Sorry about all the questions, i'm just nervous about spending so much money on something and then finding out it didn't fix the problems

  3. I've been using FL for a few months now but i've never actually recorded an instrument through it. I'm trying to record my guitar through it but the sound is awful. It doesn't sound too bad when i'm playing, but when i play back the recorded part it doesn't sound the same as it did when i was playing it. It sounds deeper, and the sound also kinda goes louder and softer when i play it with all the midi parts. Also for some reason right now it's started playing back at minimal volume and sound only comes out the left side of my head phones :S

My setup is this: My guitar is connected to my amp and my amp is connected to the line in on my laptop. It's dead basic, could this be the main problem? How can i make my guitar record in to FL and actually sound good? Please help, i'm at the end of my tether, i've been messing about with it for hours :(

  4. This is my first ever game remix and only the the second ever piece i've made in midi. I'm still not even close to good with FL Studio but practice makes perfect. It's a remix of the Miners and Climbers stage music from Lemmings. I know part of the guitar solo sounds pretty rough. I was finding it hard to get a good sound from the fast played notes. If anyone can tell me some ways to make it sound better i'd appreciate it. Right now i'd say it sounds better through headphones than speakers.

There's a download link in the description. Youtube lowered the quality a little bit.

  5. Haha! Then they could team up with Rick Allen (Def Leppard drummer) and form the One Arms!

Actually that's not a bad idea. The could make some mean music. A one handed keyboard player added to the mix and you've got a winning band. I'd definitely support them. I already want to buy his album.

Lol that bass player looks like Joe Satriani

  6. Don't just use them, but play around with fruityloops plug-ins.

Layer stuff, slice stuff, use effects that you'd never normally use.

I sliced and layered together three FL drumloops, I got a pretty phat and intense sounding drumkit.

Lol well i don't know how to do any of that but i'll find a tutorial somewhere

  7. Why? What's the point of HD if it's 2D sprites?

I could understand Blazblu, but Blazblu has 3D graphical aspects to it.

I think it would look better AND be easier to make if it was 3D. It would be ludicrous to ask Sega to individually hand-draw every high quality sprite.

I meant high quality graphics, like Warioland Shake. All those sprites were hand drawn and they looked amazing.

  8. The running levels in Sonic Unleashed were actually a step in the right direction, so I would hope they emulate some stuff from that into this game.

I only played the Wii version of Unleashed and i thought it was terrible. I'm told the ps3 and 360 versions are much better. I really don't want to see any 3D parts in this. I'm kinda gutted that you can only play as Sonic though. They shouldn't have ditched Tails and Knuckles :/

  9. But you should start working more with own instruments and higher quality samples.. and dont use drumloops, they make a mix repetetive very easily. The Mastering and Paning is very weak as well as the Volume control of the instruments. You get better as long as you keep working.. try to produce your own presets, drumlines and transitions and advance with more experience. Good Luck

Unfortunately all i have to work with is the samples FL comes with. I don't have any way to connect my guitar to the computer so i can get a more realistic sound. If you have any links to information that will be useful then please post them :)
