  1. Ok. Thanks, I tried to implement that into my later versions. . . and btw thanks for letting me know about my sig. . . I had no idea there was a limit XD
  2. Thank you for the feedback I actually just completed version 2 of this WIP before I saw your feedback, and it turns out that we were thinking right along the same lines. . . I pretty much saw the same faults as you did in my own remix, and pretty much fixed them all. I got rid of the intro string part completely, I didn't think it sounded good after some listens. . . I also added an organ solo for variety and to deviate from the source, just like you said. One thing though. . . I'm a little confused as to what a 'countermelody' is. I have a pretty good idea, like it's basically a separate melody that also fits into the phrase and sort of compliments the melody, right? If that's the case, should I set the countermelody at the same frequency as the actual melody with equalization, etc.? Once again thanks for the feedback
  3. Hey, all, haven't posted something in a while. . . Anyway, I'm gonna start off by saying that I really don't know why there aren't any remixes from this game on this site. The music from this game is freaking awesome, I don't care what anybody thinks. lol And this is one of my favorites from the series, the Temporal Tower theme. Here is a link to the remix: Tower_in_Despair'>http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/201-v1-TheGuitahHeroe- Tower_in_Despair Version 2: http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/201-v2-TheGuitahHeroe-Tower_in_Despair Version 3: http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/201-v3-TheGuitahHeroe-Tower_in_Despair Version 4: http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/201-v4-TheGuitahHeroe-Tower_in_Despair Version 5: http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/201-v5-TheGuitahHeroe-Tower_in_Despair Version 8: http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/201-v8-TheGuitahHeroe-Temporal_Despair And here's the source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn6yNpgjfP8 Feedback would be greatly appreciated -TGH

I have three posts in the WIP Workshop feedback forum, which contain four pieces in all. You can view all my remixes on my youtube channel though. . .http://www.youtube.com/user/TheGuitahHeroe

My earliest ones are pretty bad, lol. . .but they steadily got better. I submitted my Zelda Main Theme remix to OC but I know that's gonna get brutally rejected, lol. .. but that was before I knew what I was doing. And you've talked to Rozovian I see? Haha, he taught me a lot about mixing on youtube, and I've been made so much better because of him :D

Anyway, how about you? I saw you have one WIP on the forum. . . Do you have anything else? :D

  5. Thanks a lot guys! I really appreciate the feedback! Super_Sonic_Maniac, I actually had that in mind, lol. . . I pretty much put the maximum amount of reverb and delay on the guitars as possible without it noticably mushing in with other parts of the song. When I tried it with more, the chords kinda got mixed together and didn't sound as good. I did, however, experiment with the delay on the vibes during the orchestral part and onwards, and I added a lot more delay on those (and actually, the vibes start right where you said, at 1:36) so I can definitely see where you're coming from. Thank you

Hehe no probs. . . :D I'm new to the site too

  7. Hey. My second post in like 5 minutes, lol. This is another one of the four remixes I made with a trial version of Mixcraft, and as is the case with all the others, I cannot edit this because my trial version has run out. Tell me what you think. http://www.4shared.com/account/file/204419066/6a9c8a1a/Dire_Dire_Docks_Remix.html Thanks! -TGH
  8. This is one of four remixes I made with a trial version of Mixcraft 4.5. lol I have been forced into making this a final product rather than a WIP because my trial version has expired and I can't edit it. Although if I ever buy it, i might pick it up again. But this being said, I like the way this came out. . .I'm going to submit it eventually, but I just want some opinions on it so that I know more about where it stands in terms of whether or not it will be accepted. . . http://www.4shared.com/account/file/198793370/a09934a6/Regi_Trio_Battle_Remix_FINAL.html Please tell me what you think. -TGH
  9. Hey, thanks for replying! Do you think I could get someone to do vocals for me? XD I neither have the voice nor the technology to add vocals to the track, and the same goes for the piano. . . although I do think I could switch up the bassline a little bit, I see what you mean there (along with the repetetive piano). . .But I do however feel inclined to keep the guitars in there, I just need to find a way to make them more realistic. . . Thank you very much for the encouraging feedback
  10. Hello, this is my first post ever on these forums, I'm kind of a noob . . . XD Anyway, I've been remixing for about five months now, and in that span of time I've made about 20 'remixes' if you can call them that, lol. . . I've submitted one of them already (which was a Legend of Zelda Title Theme mix) which I now realize was not fit for OCR at all (click here to download it incase you're curious: (http://www.4shared.com/account/file/192594739/ce4f2726/The_Legend_of_Zelda_Main_Theme.html)) ^^That one I thought I did a good job on at first, but then I started to wander around the forums here and around the judges' decisions, and I realized that it just would not cut it, plain and simple. That inspired me to make a remix unlike any one I had ever made. Most of my stuff is alternative, and made with a combination of PianoRollComposer (crap program) and Audacity (and about 90% of them were from songs from the Pokemon series XD). But then I got Mixcraft. With this one I went with a completely different style than I normally do, and I like how it came out. . . I think it might, just MIGHT be OCR material, but I'm not sure. . . Regardless, I'm still definitely going to submit it. It needs work before then, though, lol. . .I might work on the guitars a little more making them sound more realistic, and also I need to fix some buzzing going on near the end of the synth solo. I have about two weeks to do that, though, since I only submitted my first remix about a week ago, lol Ok, sorry to bore you with all that crap, lmao. . . here is the download link: http://www.4shared.com/account/file/195644311/4e08eddb/Zeldas_Lullaby_FINAL.html I'm not quite sure what the genre is. . .it begins sounding like hip hop, then transforms into a rock-ish sound with guitars, then electronica with a synth solo. . . Hiprocktronica? lol Please tell me what you think. -TGH
