  1. Here's a good site to host your mp3s: http://www.tindeck.com As for the critique, I believe I've already done that XD
  2. If you go to the homepage and click go down to where it says "Workshop Remixes," your remix should be the first or second on on that list. Either click on that, or if it gets bumped off the list, just click on the "workshop remixes" title and it'll bring you to the page.

  3. Welcome to OC!

  4. Hey Kyle.

I've finished that orchestral PMD remix, lol. . . check it out. It's about a minute longer than before, with much better production, instruments, etc. :D

  5. Hey Kyle.

I've finished that orchestral PMD remix, lol. . . check it out. It's about a minute longer than before, with much better production, instruments, etc. :D

  6. Here is what may be the final version (again). http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/205-v7-TheGuitahHeroe-The_Greatest_Loss_of_All There were some strings in the bridge that were attacking too violently, I calmed those down. Fixed the violin yet again. There was also a part near the middle of the first "verse" (?) in which the strings were playing with too much vibrato, fixed that also.
  7. Hey rozo.

I'm sorry to bother you again. . . But could you please give me some feedback on my latest orchestral remix? If you could, that would be absolutely awesome :) I'm gonna submit it soon, but first I think it needs sum rozo critique XD Thanks a lot!

  8. Thanks a ton, guys There are two little nit-picky adjustments I'm going to make soon, and then I'll submit it. I'll post the final version shortly. Thanks again for your help, you guys are the best!
  9. Thanks, Emunator! I fixed the piano sample; it was originally just "acoustic piano." Now, it's "Bright piano." I also fixed the violin in one part, for some reason it wasn't playing correctly. http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/205-v6-TheGuitahHeroe-The_Greatest_Loss_of_All Further feedback would be very much appreciated
  10. Hello, thank you so much for the feedback on my WIP :)

I'm about to post another version with a different piano sample. If you could check it out and tell me if I did indeed better the sound of the piano, that would be awesome :) Thanks

  11. You think it really has a shot??? lmao
  12. This may be my final version. http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/205-v5-TheGuitahHeroe-The_Greatest_Loss_of_All
  13. I've been working on this one. If there's any remix I make that actually gets on the site, it's gonna be this one. lol Here's the link: http://www.4shared.com/file/233743676/1debe33e/The_Great_Loss_of_All.html I really worked on making this sound more like a real orchestra; I added reverb to everything, decreased the volume on the bass strings, and tinkered with the equalization on the strings a lot. I also added a part in the middle at around 2:15 until 3:12, which can be considered an interpretation of part of this song, called "Run Away," from the other PMD game: http://www.youtube.com/watch#playnext=1&playnext_from=TL&videos=N0-EFJZg26Y&v=51IYbIU18cc I really want to know what you think, so please leave feedback
  14. Version 3 is here. http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/205-v3-TheGuitahHeroe-The_Greatest_Loss_of_All I lowered the volume of the bass string ever so slightly, and I also made a few other petty changes with the strings.
  15. In this one I created two separate channels for the bass strings, and panned one to the left and one to the right to broaden the stereo width. I also brought one of the piano channels back from the foreground a little bit. Also, I added a harp solo at the end. http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/205-v2-TheGuitahHeroe-The_Greatest_Loss_of_All I might want to do some more in terms of straying from the source. . .
  16. Thanks for the suggestions The thing is with the bass drum, If I try to make it louder the mp3 buzzes at every kick. . .I know this has something to do with compression, but to be honest I really don't know anything about that. . . How could I change the compression in order to make it louder and yet keep it from buzzing as well? Also, if you don't mind. . . what is retrograding? Just playing notes backwards? And what are church modes, and modality? Thanks again.
  17. Thanks you guys for the feedback I'll see what i can do for version 2. Kyle, to bend the pitch of the notes in Mixcraft, there's a scroll down menu in the part of the program where you input the notes; this menu includes expression, velocity, volume, modulation, etc., as well as pitch wheel, where you can draw lines on the bottom part to change the pitch. I hope that helped XD
  18. Hey Kyle, check out my new remix WIP of one of the ending cutscene songs from PMD2 :D

  19. Yes sir. I tried orchestral this time. I didn't deviate too much from the original in terms of phrasing, but I did change some things from the original song, as well as add a string intro. The original song is called "Memories of You" from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon EOT/D/S. The remix name is "The Greatest Loss of All." Remix: http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/205-v1-TheGuitahHeroe-The_Greatest_Loss_of_All Source: Please let me know what you think -TGH
  20. Hello :)

Could you please give me some feedback on my updated version of that Regi Trio mix? I tried to make the instruments sound better and I think I did somewhat of a good job with that.

    http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/184-v3-TheGuitahHeroe-REGIs_Gone_Mad

Thank you, feedback would be very much appreciated :)

  21. Here's Version 3: http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/184-v3-TheGuitahHeroe-REGIs_Gone_Mad Anyway, this time I did change some of the instruments, most notably the lead instrument. Please let me know what you think! -TGH
  22. Alright, IMO, this has a TON of potential. I really liked the flutes throughout. The only things I can critique are that the drums and the piano do get kinda repetitive. I'm not gonna suggest anything else, because as I exhibited in my last reply, I don't really have that great of an ear for knowing what should be changed without actually changing it to hear what it sounds like XD. . . I'm sorry about that. Anyway, great work.
  23. Thank you for the feedback, guys! And no, Zarma, not too late at all. . . I wasn't planning on submitting this, but I started tinkering with it again today and came up with this. This is version 2: http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/184-v2-TheGuitahHeroe-REGIs_Gone_Mad I didn't necessarily change any of the instruments, I just kinda adjusted them to make them sound better. And I plan on adjusting them further, too. And there's this noise at 1:11 that you can hear, I think created by a slight difference between the two leads; sorry about that X( Anyway, once again, feedback would be appreciated. -TGH
  24. I think this does a really good job of capturing the in-game emotional feel of going through the Sky Tower. Good job in that respect. I also think the flute and and strings together for the lead is great. My only suggestion is making the tempo a little bit slower. But it's only a suggestion. Keep it up XD
  25. I think you're on the right track with this, but it definitely needs a lot of work. I think the bass should play a lot larger part in the song, and thus should be panned in the center. Parts of it almost seemed as if the lead was left out on it's own while the bass just kinda wandered around. Also, I'm not quite sure that guitar works. . . I think the sample is a bit rigid. I think synth would sound great in its place. The intro was pretty cool, but it was weird how the heavy bass just kinda went away suddenly. It just left sort of an empty feeling. . .I think the low bass-oriented idea in the intro is superb and really grabs the listener's attention, however. I noticed that you have the same sound effect at the end, but instead of just ending, the reverb allows it to fade away. I would try applying the same effect to the sound effect in the intro. Let me know how it works out. . . I love this song
