  1. Cool! I'll be looking forward for listening at the improved track
  2. Sounds like some portamento sawtooth synth with a guitar distorsion effect on it (Guitar Rig?). Sadly, I can't help more than that
  3. I never heard the original version of this track before, so I went to YouTube and listened at this. I really loved your version! I specially loved how the new synth sounds when the tune goes a half-tone down (how you say this technically in english, BTW?). As for the tempo, I think it's just right. Faster would be... well, just a little too fast for my tastes (maybe you corrected that in your new version?). I'm really interested on making these kind of chiptunes. What software do you use to make these arragements? What VSTis you use? I haven't been able to find a decent chiptune VSTi for both synths and percussion.
  4. Thanks for commenting guys! Anyway, I kinda missed some comments like either "hey, I liked the tracks because of a, b and c" or "hey, I didn't like the tracks because of d, c and e" .
  5. Hey there guys. First off, I must say that I'm very happy about finding this site. I have always loved videogame's music, and this is like my dreams came true! Well, being this my first videogame music thread I'll post 3 videogame tracks I've made. Anyway, I guess they don't qualify as remixes, since I made them very similar to the original ones. BTW, no scores or MIDIs were used in the arranging of any of these tracks, so if there are some mistakes in them is just because my ear didn't work very well haha. The first track is the music from Episode 1, level 7 of Duke Nukem II. This one was arranged by me and played by my band, Izkemia. Here's the link to the track: http://www.mediafire.com/?ym4iymklmkn And here's a link to the original track, in case you haven't listened at it: The second one is the track "The sinking old sanctuary" from Castlevania: Bloodlines for the Sega Genesis console. Here's the link: http://www.mediafire.com/?lnimyud2it2 And here's the link to the original track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAwbk_UJNSQ The third one is I just made it by request of a friend of mine, who wanted it to sound as faithful as possible to the original version. It's the music for stage 4 of Batman for the NES console. Here's the link: http://www.mediafire.com/?myotiwwwj0r And here's the link to the original track: Of course, any feedback is welcome and appreciated
  6. Well, first off, hi to everyone. I'm new in these forums, and this is the first non-videogame track I post here. Well, the title says "trance" instead of just trance because I guess it's just a bit downtempo to fit into the trance style. Well, anyway, here you have: http://www.mediafire.com/?zmydmyfnzam The samplers aren't that good (they are pretty basic), but just don't focus on that Please focus on the music itself. Any feedback is obviously welcome!
  7. Hey there I think the piano in the intro needs some more "naturallity" (you could try playing with dynamics, like if you were actually playing in a piano). Something I didn't like was the snare drum, specially in those triplet drumrolls. Maybe it would sound better with another sample? Also, I think that the piano from 2:39 doesn't blend very well with the background. In some parts it feels like you just put notes at random, there isn't a very good harmony with the electronic base. I hope I wasn't too harsh. I think the track is overall good, I was just pointing out the things I think that need more work
